July 4th, 1982
It was another forth of July, another pointless town picnic. Aurora was never one for these types of crowds. The whole love and happiness vibe drained her, she hadn't learned to take it in properly. Her father being the way he was causing this of course.
This innocent looking little girl caused more trouble then one can imagine by just one glance. She looked tough you'd have to give her that, but at the same time she looked so gentle and timid. It's like you could just tell she was sad, so unhappy with the world that every night she would sneak off into her own little world.
A world of danger, pain and a darkness so intense every time you entered you felt your sanity slip by the second. Nobody could ever understand why she preferred this over the whole family safety, loving, happy, and positive ways of life. She being the preachers daughter, making it almost cliché.
Tonight however she didn't want to pretend for a few hours that she was happy to sit on a uncomfortable picnic bench. Happy to see everyone in the god forsaken town, to talk to people about how great god is and all he had blessed her with, or people like them. People who fed into the fucked up fairytale of happily ever after if you're good.
In all it was depressing, the fact of how idiotic these people sounded. Hypocritical comments towards people who looked the slightest bit different, but saying god loved us all. How dare they? Oh no, she was far from those types of people, god didn't bless her with anything she made everything in her life happen. Not some mysterious godly figure everyone seems to praise.
For what exactly? Doing nothing? A question she asks herself every damn day. A question she'll never really find the answer to. So instead of pretending she got up and walked to the group of out of towners. She didn't exactly care where she would go, she just wanted the hell out of here.
A boy around 22 stood with a couple other guys, stealing glances Aurora's way ever so often. She of course doing the same had taken notice to it. He was very handsome, long dark hair almost shoulder length, crystal clear blue eyes almost white looking. One look into those eyes and any girl would feel compelled to want him, addicted to needing him. Not Aurora though she just got a wild sense from him. Wild boy, a bit of mischief, a fun night.
She made her way over, shoving through other boys to get to him. It was gross how quickly boys, and men even noticed her before any other girl. Every guy wanted to explore her, every guy wanted to get a feel of the preachers daughter. She however, didn't exactly want that. Sure she wanted fun, like every other teenager, but she was into the parties feeling alive fun. Not sex, hard to believe for most people that knew who she really was. She was still a virgin, she wanted it that way for a long time.
This however didn't seem to be taken to consideration by the boy who agreed to take her away from the family crowded town square. One night in town and he seemed to be getting lucky, in his mind of course. This all lead to Aurora finding herself parked in a pasture listening to music. A familiar song started to play, one that she knew well. Alice in chains, nutshell. She smiled.
"You're very pretty," the blue eyes boy who she learned the name of, Rider smirked down at her. "So pretty." He whispered leaning down pressing sloppy wet alcohol filled kisses to her neck. Hoping to find that one spot that would send her moaning for more. To his unfortune Aurora pushed him off gently saying a simple "No."
Aurora learned in these few hours spent with Rider he had a bit of a temper. Never liked to be told what to do, as he said to her while talking about his child hood. So she knew that from simply saying no to an act she never comited or even attempted would send him over the edge.
