Billie's pov
I would much rather be home relaxing after what was a particularly long week. However, rather unfortunately, I have an obligation to the chairman of this event. I promised I would attend and honestly I forgot about it until I got sent the official invitation. I usually remember things like this but I sort of broke up with my girlfriend recently and I've been a bit out of it since.

With work on top of all that, I haven't really been focused in my day to day life. Which leads me to my current problem: finding a plus one. It was already a stretch to be granted a plus one so if I show up without one everyone will be talking about it and I'd rather avoid that. However, as I've searched for the past few days, I haven't been able to find anyone to go with me.

Everyone is busy since it's so last minute which I can understand. Even my assistant has plans, so I really have no other options at this point. As I'm on my way to get ready, I'm staring out the window trying to mentally prepare myself for this; that's when I see her. She's perfect. I don't know why she stands out to me amongst all the other people walking but there's just something about her.

Before I can really comprehend my actions, I roll down the window and start yelling for her. A lot of people turn their heads but I couldn't care less right now. Finally she locks eyes with me and I smile widely, trying to motion her over now that I've got her attention. She points at herself and I chuckle as I nod quickly.

Kenzie's pov
I see people start to slow down so I pause my music and suddenly become aware of someone yelling. I look around to find the source and I see a woman practically hanging out the window and yelling. As odd as the situation is, she is quite beautiful so I can't complain much. I see her point in my direction and I turn around but I see everyone else continuing to walk.

I point at myself and she smiles widely as she nods. I see her glance back at the red light she's stopped at and I get the impression it'll be something quick so I walk over. Of course, in any other circumstance I wouldn't do this because she could be a kidnapper for all I know; but she seems nice enough. Although it is pretty crazy that she's yelling out the window, I get a good overall vibe from her.

I don't even have time to speak once I get close enough before she starts rambling. "I have this event in like... 2 hours" she says glancing at her watch, I look at it too and it's very nice. It's gold with diamonds in it which tells me that she obviously has a lot of money. I myself don't wear much jewelry but I can tell when it's good quality; the diamonds glimmer even though it's cloudy and they momentarily distract me.

"All you have to do is take a few pictures, stand with me, and look pretty—which will be more than easy for you. I'll pay you... 3500" she states and my eyes widen as she says it. $3500 to just look pretty? Count me in, I guess. Horns start blaring all around us and I see the light has long since turned green. I have to make a decision quickly and I can see her begging me with her eyes to say yes.

I pull the door handle and tell her to scoot over. I'm not exactly sure why I do it but something about how she looked at me was convincing. I could tell she really needed it and after all, shes very pretty you don't have to beg me to go with her—I'll do it for free. "Are clothes provided or what?" I ask as I take my headphones out, "yes, yes of course" she answer quickly.

She takes my hand gratefully and kisses the back of it gently. I stare at it as she holds it for a while longer, remembering the feeling of her lips. They're soft like pillows or cotton candy and I find myself wanting to feel them again. "No funny business" I say sternly, this comment is mostly for myself at this point; I can't deny that the blonde is gorgeous.

She puts her hand to her chest and swears nothing of the sort will occur. I eye her skeptically for a while and she smiles softly which makes my facade crumble instantly. I smile back at her and she briefly tells me about the event as we drive to our destination. "Where are we going?" I ask after we've been riding for a while, "my house" she answers as if it was obvious.

"You're taking a stranger to your house?" I ask funnily, "well you're not a thief are you?" she smirks and I giggle. How is she so charming?? She's gonna kill me. "Are you a kidnapper?" I counter, "are you a 'kid'?" she quips and I smack my tongue. "Touché" I reply and she smiles victoriously. "Don't get cocky. I might just change my mind" I smirk and her jaw drops funnily.

"You wouldn't..." she mumbles and I just close my eyes and cross my legs, laying my hands daintily on my knees and tilting my head up. It's silent for a while and I frown a bit as I open my eyes until I see her face right next to mine. My eyes widen slightly and I look at her doe-eyed as I wait for her to speak. She simply stares at me for a while before leaning back in her seat.

She might not be an assassin but she is sure trying to kill me...
