5th November 1939

The captain was in the main dining room where the men would play board games and eat, he was in there to purley enjoy the view. It had a great view of the farm animals. God knows why they were there. The village was a hot spot for bombing. Havers knocked the door which startled the Captain as he was zoned out. "COME!" The captain shouted. He didn't want to but he had to shout as if someone walked in and he didn't say it they would suspect something. Havers walked in with sweat dripping down and tears falling down his face. "Oh my god, darling who hurt you?" The captain said without realising what came out of his mouth. "James, i love you dearly but im afraid in leaving you sir. At 1900 hours this evening." Anthony responded. He coukd see the state the Captain was in and didn't know what to do. Instead he left the room and went up tk the Captains studies and cried. The captain just stood in the same spot with tears dropping on the floor for 10 straight minutes. (Just for a fact it cant be straight cuz he isnt. Obvs. Anyway) He then went up to his studies but couldn't get in as havers was still in there, he barged the door so many times until Havers opened the door to see blood running down havers' arm and a serrated blade in his hands. He just barged past James and went to his room. "Anthony" james whispered. Making haveds turn back. "James" Anthony responded making James blush. Now wasnt the time to blush. He could potentially be saying goodbye to the one person he loved dearly. How could he live without him. They had made plans to live on a farm in the middle of no where. With peace and quiet and now Anthony is going on the front lines. He hoped that one day they could meet at button house for a party once the war was over.

The time had come. 1859 hours. How he was dreading it. He looked out the window that showed the gate. And there he was, Anthony, pulling a salute as he walked out of the gates and into a van with more young soldiers going into battle. The captain couldn't do anything but cry, he cried for hours and hours. Then he locked himself in his room for the rest of the day. Thats how it was until D-Day.
