33. Another Proposal

It's been another couple of days and Charles invited me for a date night. He drives up to the hill we had our little sneak out, our first kiss was up here.

Charles opens the car door for me and helps me out. He's getting overprotecting now.

E: Okay stop being overprotecting!

I take his hand laughing. He gives me an innocent look. And puts his arm around my shoulder.

C: I love the coast so much.

E: The view is breathtaking. It will be my favorite spot forever. With the best memories.

C: It was so much fun.

I look at the water, enjoying this quiet time.

E: Thank you for not leaving me and that you didn't forget me. For all these effort you do for us.

He takes my hand to turn me around to him. He shows me that he prepared a picnic for us. If I wouldn't be pregnant the wine bottle would've been fine too but that's so sweet of him.

We sit down and talk a lot, eating from fruits and sandwiches. It was such an amazing time. I missed these times with Charles.

Suddenly Charles stands up and also reaches for my hand. I get up with his help, looking confused.

C: I still need to do something in the proper way.

E: Okay, what?

He rubs his sweaty hands on his pants. He looks very nervous.

C: When I met you at the beginning of the year I never imagined to stand here today with you. I was enchanted to meet you.

I take his hand in mine since I see how nervous he gets from word to word.

C: For me it was love on the first sign. I never believed in this before but you're just someone else, Betty.

E: Oh Charlie..

I'm getting overwhelmed. My eyes are filled with happy tears. The pregnancy hormones are driving me crazy. Why so emotional?

C: We already went through so much together and I know I want to spent the rest of my life with you and the little one.

He grins before he takes out a small box out of his jacket. He goes down on one knee. I cover my moth with my hand. I never expect him to do this. We were already engaged on paper.

C: Do you want to marry me, princess?

E: Yes. yes, yes, I wanna marry you!

I hug him right out of pure happiness. He is relived and hugs me back.

C: I love you, Elisabeth!

E: I love you even more, future Prince.

I grin to tease him a bit. He places the ring on my finger happy. He puts both of his hands on my cheeks and kisses me gently.

C: Wanna know a little secret?

E: What is it?

C: I've brought that ring on the Silverstone weekend. I just knew I wanted to marry you. I saw that ring and had to buy it. It was perfect for you.

I look down at the ring.

E: You definitely made me to the happiest person on earth.

The palace of Monaco just announced the engagement of Princess Elisabeth and Charles Leclerc. They released these pictures. We can't wait for the fairytale weeding to happen this summer!
