Taehyung's POV
"And you will impregnate her soon, yes?" Master Jones asks Master Leo, completely ignoring my existence as I polish the young master's shoes.
"We haven't even gotten engaged." Master Leo comments, seeming a bit surprised. "May I have time to get through the engagement and wedding before we discuss such details?"
"You did not wait to lay in bed with those other women." His father points out, the young master squirming uncomfortably. Why must these people be so...crude? I don't mind discussing such topics with my friends, but these people are gossiping right in front of me. It angers me. It angers me that they are discussing Miss Bella in a way that presents her to be a disposable item, just a body to impregnate.
"It's not my fault other women throw themselves at me." The young master says with a chuckle, accidentally nudging me as he walks past since I am sitting on the floor to complete my task...even though I had polished the shoes earlier this morning and he had not worn them. "Do not worry father. Bella and I will have a child soon. It won't take her much convincing to lay in bed with me." If I was a different person, a careless person, I would spit in his face. I don't think she'll give him the time of day. But maybe it is empty words, the rants she goes on about how she essentially despises her class and both families. They are quite interesting to hear though, coming from someone who looks so sweet and harmless. She is sweet though and doesn't just appear that way. Harmless, I'm not sure. I don't know her well enough to make that judgement.
"Good. See to it that that gets done."
"Of course, father." And then Master Jones leaves, the young master taking a seat on his bed. I move onto the next pair of leather shoes, not quite polishing them as much as I normally would because there isn't anything to polish since I've already done it. "Kim. Did Bella pick a gown?" Master Leo asks curiously.
"Yes master." I respond simply, brushing away at the shoe, almost zoned out as I do so.
"Was she picky with it?" She doesn't want to get married, so I am not surprised that it took so long to choose a gown. She looked beautiful in every gown she tried on. I didn't have an opinion on the gowns themselves, just on her.
"The merchants provided Miss Bella with many options. She did settle on one though." I respond, not wanting to agree with his narrative that she was picky for the sake of being picky.
"Probably an expensive one. She's quite the princess." He says dryly, picking up his bible at just moving it around in his hands. I have not worked with this family for that long, only a few months. But I know enough about them that the young master certainly isn't religious. But he appears that way to the public because that is the image the family wants to create for them. I also know him enough to know that he is not worthy of a person like Miss Bella. He will certainly be fooling around with other women during their marriage. And that angers me as well. "Pity that you will have to serve her."
"I will serve whoever I am ordered to serve for." I respond, just for the sake of disagreeing with him. I am being honest with my responses, just not in a way where he will notice. The young master does not seem as intelligent as Miss Bella.
"Do fill me on her behaviors. I do not know much about her." We've never talked this much before. That is how it usually is with the servants and their masters. Communication amongst them is slim to none. Orders only. However, it seems that gossip is something everyone wants to be in on.
"Would you like to discuss this now, Master Leo?" I question.
"Please. She was quite...fickle at the dinner. I am curious to know if she is always this difficult." Difficult isn't the right word to describe her. A free thinker is better. Adventurous. Curious.
