A walk-in closet door opens. A gloved hand grabs a dark gray pull up hoodie. The door is then shut. A clear view of a workshop table is seen, appearing to be located in a garage. A door nearby is heard being open before the same gloved hand quickly grabs a hammer. A calendar is shown with a red drawn on circle marking the "1st of September". A figure quickly walks by. The left side of a white sedan is seen as the unseen figure makes their way into their car and begin to start the engine. The vehicle pulls out and the driver makes their way down the peaceful suburban streets. They pass by children playing in their front yards, people walking their dogs, friends walking together and families enjoy the weekend outside.
A striking suburban home is seen as a blue compact Jeep pulls into the driveway. Out of the Jeep steps Brianna Livel. She has returned home from her first week at college and is ready to visit her parents. Brianna walks up to the front door and knocks. Brianna's father answers the door.
Thomas Livel: Sweet pie! Come here kiddo!
Brianna embraces her dad and gives him a kiss on the cheek.
Brianna: Hey dad, it's so good to see you again. I missed you.
Thomas Livel: Not as much as I missed you. Come on in, your mom is making the best casserole this side of the Mississippi.
The Livel's family dog runs and greets Brianna.
Brianna: Hey, Minus!
Minus, a beautiful Red Labrador jumps up to lick Brianna's face.
Brianna is then greeted by her mom.
Jessica Livel: Bree! Come here!
Jessica gives Brianna a very tight hug before giving her a forehead kiss.
Jessica Livel: Sweetie how was your first week? Not too stressful I hope.
Brianna: It was amazing, mom. All my professors seem really chill and I've already acquainted myself with some really awesome people.
Jessica Livel: Aw, that's wonderful Bree. I was worried for you this whole time.
Thomas Livel: She ain't kidding either. I swear, I heard you sleep-talk Brianna's name, pumpkin.
Jessica Livel: Oh come on now Thomas, theres no need to exaggerate.
Thomas Livel: If you say so. Go ahead and take seat sweetie pie. Me and your mom will finish making dinner, you just relax.
Brianna is about to follow her dad's advice but remembers a bag she left in her car.
Brianna: Crap.
Jessica Livel: What is it Bree?
Brianna: I left my computer bag in the car. I'll be right back.
Brianna rushes out of her house to retrieve her computer's bag. Outside, the same white sedan from earlier is seen stopped just down the street from Brianna's home.
Brianna opens her car and rummages through it before finding her computer bag. She closes and locks the car's door then turns around to face her home. Instead, Brianna catches a view of the white sedan. The sedan appears to be off, but after a brief stare-down it continues its slow decent, driving down the street and passing Brianna in the process.
Brianna does take notice of this but shrugs it off as a person just driving by. Brianna takes her belongings and returns back inside. Little does Brianna know just how wrong she'd be.
