Officer Lee: Dispatch, this is unit 45 we are 10-23.
Dispatcher: 10-4.
Officer Valdez: What was the call about again?
Officer Lee: Some women called about a prowler around her house. She apparently even said that they had killed her dog.
Officer: Valdez: ......... fuck.
Officer Lee: Yeah. Come on, let's go.
Officer Lee steps out of the car and proceeds to walk to the front of the house. Officer Valdez follows closely behind her.
Officer Valdez points his flashlight at the house's shattered windows.
Officer Valdez: What the hell? Why are they all broken?
Officer Lee: No clue. Come on, let's get to the front.
Back up stairs, Brianna slowly emerges from the bottom of her bed. She gets up and quietly walks over to her desk and beings to carefully remove it. Brianna moves her desk aside but hesitates unlocking her bedroom door. She grabs at her injured thigh, it's still bleeding.
The police bang on the door.
Officer Lee: This is the police! We received a distress call! Please open up!
Brianna moves makes a spit second decision, she unlocks her door. Brianna violently opens her door and swings the knife!
Nothing. No sign of the hooded man. Brianna then peers around the hallway to make sure the coast is clear. She carefully makes her way down the hall and towards the stairs, still clutching her knife.
Officer Valdez: It's quiet out here, too quiet.
Officer Lee: Yeah, it is.
Officer Lee continues to bang on the door.
Officer Lee: This is the police, open the doo.......
The door begins to open. The officers are greeted by the sight of the blood soaked Brianna.
Brianna: Help, please.
Officer Lee: Jesus Christ, what happened to you, miss?
Brianna: He killed him, he k-killed my neighbor.
Officer Lee and Officer Valdez glance at each other with a look of dread.
Officer Valdez: Here, just set the knife down and come with me, alright?
Brianna just drops the knife in response.
Officer Lee: Valdez, take her back to the car; I'm going to take a look around back.
Brianna: No! Please don't do that, he'll kill you too.
Officer Valdez: It's alright, everything's gonna be okay. You're safe now, just follow me this way.
Officer Valdez begins to walk Brianna to the squad car. Officer Lee draws her gun and begins to walk around the back of the house. Officer Lee reaches the left side-gate and pushes it open. She thoroughly checks the side of the house before stepping onto the actual backyard. She turns the corner and discovers Minus's hanging body.
Officer Lee: Aw, what the fuck?
She turns away in disgust and horror. Officer Lee continues her check of the backyard, each of her steps making a distinct squeak noise because of the wet grass.
Back to the street, Officer Valdez sits Brianna in the squad car and asks her for more information. Brianna is visibly trembling.
Officer Valdez: What's your name?
