It's okay to cry..

Cactiflower fluff!! :D (Btw, this happened after Kel's fight with Hero, if Hero didn't get up and apologised to Kel :>)

sob.. sob..

"Shhh~ Shhhh~ It's okay..." Basil comforted, patting Kel's back. They were sitting in Basil's living room, Kel was sobbing while Basil was trying to calm him down.

 Just now, it started raining when Basil heard loud frantic knocking on his front door, he opened the door to see Kel, bloody and bruised, he was soaked from the rain, his head had a large bleeding wound and his face soaked with his tears. He was begging, pleading for Basil to let him in. Basil never seen Kel so hurt before, so he let him in.

"While I dry you up, why don't you tell me what happened?.." Basil say as he grabs a towel to dry up Kel, as he was soaked from the rain.

Kel sniffed, shuddering, before he took a deep breath to calm down. "W-Well.. Y-You know how Hero hasn't been doing well after.. y-you know.."

Basil paused, a look of horror appeared on his face. Oh god, it's about. .that.. He shook his head, "C-Continue.." he said, walking over to Kel with the towel.

"Heheh.. Well, I tried to help him.. get out of his d-depression slump.." Kel chuckled, tears dripping down his cheek. "I don't know what I did or say.. but I-... I ended up angering him!- I.. I never seen him so angry at me before-!"

Basil gave Kel a worried glance while drying his hair.

"It- It scared me so bad.. He yelled at me for about.. 10 minutes, the more he yelled, the harder he cried- and.. and he just suddenly collapsed crying.. I-I was so scared, that.. that I.. y-you know.. started crying too.."

"Eventually.. Our parents came.. and.. and.." Kel frowns a little, "They... They completely ignored me.. They.. went to comfort Hero instead.."

Kel shook his head, "I-It's okay!- I know they still love me.. Hero still loves me.." He sniffed, "I.. I ran out while they were comforting Hero, I didn't felt comfortable staying.."

"H-How did you get so bruised up?.. If you don't mind me asking.." Basil said, placing his hand on Kel's shoulder to comfort him.

"I.. I met Aubrey.. while I was running I accidentally bumped into her.. I don't know what I did but she gave me one of the coldest glare ever, a-and.. I think she got mad or something, because she started kicking me while I was on the ground.." Kel said, shaking.

"S-She.. She was different, she was cold, she was.. mean.." Kel said, "She was just playful before, but now she is more aggressive."

"W-Well.. she left me after a while, I was pretty bruised up, it hurts it really hurts.. I was so... frustrated with myself that I banged my head on a tree, and I guess I banged a little too hard.. my head's bleeding now.." Kel cradled himself in his arms.

All of this is my fault— why did I have to hang her?? It was so unnecessary I could've just called 911 I didn't have to hang her if I didn't hang her none of these would happen everyone would be happy and fine what was I thinking why did I do that I'm an idiot I'm a psychopath I should be jailed—

"B-Basil?.. You okay?.." Kel's voice perked out.

Basil snapped out of his trance, "W-What?.. O-Oh! Uh.. I'm okay.." He lied, "I just feel.. a little overwhelmed.. that's all.."

"Am.. Am I bothering you? I shouldn't have come here— I'm sorry I'll leave right away—" Kel began.

"N-No.. NO! DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE—" Basil started to yell.

Kel stopped, relaxing a little. "O-Okay.." He said, "You.. You need some company too?.."

Basil nodded, looking desprate.

"O-Okay." Kel said.

It was awkwardly quiet for a while..

...

"We... We should clean your wounds up.." Basil said quietly, after a moment of silence.

"Oh... okay.."

"I'll.. get the medkit.." Basil said quietly, "Don't do anything." Basil warned, Kel gave him a weak smile and a thumbs up. Basil then quickly grabbed a medkit to clean Kel's head wound. "I'll clean your head wound first.." Basil said.

Kel smiled and nodded, "Okay... Thanks for this.. Uh.." Kel wiped the tears off his eyes, "This is.. awkward.." 

"Yeah.." Basil said quietly.

Basil rubbed alcohol against Kel's head wound, Kel winced from the pain. "That hurts!" Kel whined, "I know.. But it's for your own good~" Basil said, chuckling to himself a little.

Next, Basil wrapped Kel's head with bandages, but he wasn't very good at it and accidentally covered Kel's eyes. "Aaah! Basil!" Kel laughed, "I can't see!- You wrapped my eyes!". "Wait- Kel stop moving!" Basil said, giggling a little. Kel moved too much and the bandages tightened around his head. 

"Stop moving Kel!" Basil scolded, playfully. "Fine fine.." Kel sat still as Basil tries to unwrap the bandage. After a few effort, he finally succeeded and he pulled the bandage from Kel's eyes. 

"I can see again!" Kel laughed playfully. Basil chuckled, "Now stay still! I need to wrap it properly.." Basil's expression went serious as Kel stayed as still as possible. After a while, Basil finally wrapped the bandage around Kel's head properly. 

"I'm.. done!" Basil said, tightened the bandage tight enough for it to breathe. 

"Thanks Basil! I appreciate the help!" Kel smiled brightly, "And about these bruises, I don't think I need you to clean them. I'm fine now, in fact! I feel better!" Kel gave Basil a big hug.

"Thanks for.. being there for me, y'know?" Kel said quietly, wrapping his arms around Basil. Basil turned red, "I-It.. It's nothing!" Basil stuttered, awkwardly hugging Kel back by patting his back softly.

"Eheheh.. You're a.. great friend.." Kel yawned, "I'm glad to be.. your friend.."

Kel went quiet.

"Kel?" Basil asked as he felt Kel go limp in his arms. Kel let out a soft snore, and Basil chuckled to himself.

"He must have dozed off, that's so silly of him.." Basil thought, "Eh, might as well let him stay, I don't think he wants to go back and face his brother any time soon.."

Basil carried Kel to the couch, Kel was surprisingly light for his size, and lay him on the couch. He covers him up with a blanket. Basil gave Kel a soft kiss on the forehead before offing the lights in the living room.

"Good night Kel~" Basil said quietly, before walking back to his own room to sleep..
