As I walked through the crowded school hallways, my heart weighed heavy with uncertainty. Sasha was my closest friend, the one person I trusted for now above all others, and I knew I needed her help now more than ever. I needed to at least tell one of the girls about this.
"Sasha, can we talk?" I whispered, catching up to her between classes.
Sasha glanced at me, concern flickering in her eyes. "Of course, Sierra. What's wrong?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine worry.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the confession I was about to make. "It's about Haden," I began, my words tumbling out in a rush. "I think I'm in love with him."
Sasha's eyes widened in surprise, but before she could respond, I continued, the words pouring out of me in a desperate plea for understanding.
"And Tristan...I don't know, maybe things were never meant to work out between us," I confessed, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders with each word spoken.
To my surprise, Sasha didn't judge me or try to talk me out of my feelings. Instead, she offered me a reassuring smile, her support unwavering.
"You deserve better than a dumb ass boy who would mess with his own cousin like that," she said firmly, her words echoing with conviction.
I felt a surge of gratitude wash over me as I realized that Sasha was right-I deserved someone who would treat me with respect and kindness, someone like Haden.
"Thank you, Sasha," I said softly, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
Sasha squeezed my hand, her smile warm and reassuring. "You don't have to do this alone, Sierra. I'm here for you, no matter what."
"Can you keep this between us for now?" I asked, my voice hesitant. "Until everything cools off?"Sasha nodded, understanding shining in her eyes. "Of course, Sierra. You can count on me."
Buoyed by Sasha's reassurance, I knew it was time to face Tristan and finally put an end to the uncertainty that had plagued me for so long. With Sasha by my side, I felt ready to confront him.
Later that day, as we sat in the courtyard, Sasha approached Tristan with determination in her eyes. "Tristan, can we talk?" she asked, her voice steady despite the tension in the air.
I watched from a distance, my heart pounding in my chest as Sasha spoke, her words ringing out clear and strong. This was it.
As I stood there, watching Sasha and Tristan, I knew that no matter what the outcome, I had made the right decision. All I needed was Tristan to agree to help me, and everything else would come together.
As I stood there, facing Tristan, the weight of our shared history heavy in the air, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions-anger, hurt, but also a glimmer of hope. Sasha stood by my side, her presence a silent reminder that I wasn't alone in this.
"Tristan, why did you do it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, but filled with the weight of his betrayal. I really thought we were good, and I was ready to let everything else go, so yes, I was really hurt by his betrayal.
Tristan's eyes widened in surprise, his expression a mix of guilt and regret. He glanced at Sasha, a silent plea for support, before turning back to me.
"I...I don't know, Sierra," he stammered, his voice filled with uncertainty. "I never meant to hurt you."
I felt a pang of frustration at his response, but beneath it all, there was a flicker of understanding. Tristan had made a mistake-a terrible, unforgivable mistake-but I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the story.
"Please, Tristan," I urged, my voice tinged with desperation. "I need to understand. Why did you cheat on me...with your own cousin?"
Tristan sighed, his shoulders slumping with the weight of his confession. "Before we found out we were related, Felicia and I...we were in love," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
My heart clenched at his words, the pain of his betrayal mingling with a sense of sadness for what could have been. Tristan continued, his words tumbling out in a rush as he laid bare the truth of his heart.
"But then I met you, Sierra, and everything changed," he confessed, his eyes filled with regret. "I realized that I had fallen for you, and I couldn't deny it anymore."
I listened in silence, the weight of his words sinking in. Tristan had been torn between two loves, caught in a web of tangled emotions that had ultimately led to his downfall.
"Felicia didn't take it well," Tristan continued, his voice tinged with sadness. "She came to confront me, and things...things got out of hand."
I felt a surge of sympathy for Felicia, knowing that she had been hurt just as much as I had. But beneath it all, there was a sense of anger-a betrayal that cut deeper than I could have ever imagined.
"I regret what happened, Sierra," Tristan said, his voice filled with remorse. "I didn't feel anything for her... not like I feel for you."
I closed my eyes, the weight of his words washing over me in waves. Forgiveness didn't come easy, but beneath the hurt and the anger, there was a glimmer of hope-a chance to heal, to move forward together.
"I forgive you, Tristan," I said softly, my voice filled with resolve. "But forgetting what I saw that day...that's going to take time."
Tristan nodded, his expression filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Sierra," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I hope one day you can forgive me.I will wait for you even if it means waiting for a long time."
I sighed, the weight of our shared history pressing down on me. "I need your help, Tristan," I admitted, the words tumbling out in a rush. "I need your protection, your connections."
Tristan hesitated for a moment, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. But then, with a nod, he agreed, his resolve firm.
"For you, Sierra, anything," he said, his voice filled with determination.
"I need help paying off Hadens' debt. I know you don't like Haden, but I need you right now as a friend to help me with this, and if you truly care about me, you will help me through this." I said with a straight face.
Tristan did not look happy about this but he agreed anyways ,he knew he had to help me especially if he wanted to prove himself to me "like I said Sierra I will help you with anything even if it means saving the devil himself"
