As we arrived at the meeting place, Tristan's hired guards fanned out around us, their presence a comforting reminder of the safety net we had in place. Despite the tension in the air, I felt a surge of relief knowing that we weren't facing this alone.

Tristan introduced us to his men, each one exuding an air of strength and determination. Their stoic expressions and imposing presence reassured me that we were in good hands. I exchanged a nod of gratitude with each of them, silently thanking them for their help.

With the introductions out of the way, we set off towards the isolated location that had been sent to us. The drive was tense, the silence punctuated only by the sound of the engine and the pounding of my heart.

As we arrived, my stomach churned with nerves. The desolate landscape stretched out before us, an eerie silence hanging in the air. We donned black hoodies, a feeble attempt to blend into the darkness that surrounded us.

Clutching the bag of cash tightly, I felt a wave of unease wash over me. This was it-the moment of truth. I had never done anything like this before, and the weight of the situation bore down on me like a leaden weight.

Sasha, on the other hand, seemed unfazed, her confidence unwavering in the face of danger. Her calm demeanor was a stark contrast to my own trembling nerves, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of inadequacy.

Suddenly, three large men emerged from the shadows, their menacing presence sending a shiver down my spine. One of them dragged Haden forward, his expression filled with fear and uncertainty.

Haden's eyes widened in shock as he caught sight of us, his voice tinged with urgency as he pleaded with me to leave. But I couldn't-I wouldn't. I was determined to see this through, to save him from whatever fate awaited him.

Ignoring Haden's protests, I stepped forward, my voice steady despite the fear that gnawed at my insides. "We're here to make a deal," I said, my words ringing out in the stillness of the night.

One of the men stepped forward with a grin on his face "would you look at that, a bunch of teenagers-kids!" He scoffed and the rest of the men laughed

We may have been young, but we were determined-determined to save Haden, no matter the cost.

Tristan's annoyance was palpable as he stepped forward, his voice tinged with impatience. "Do you want the money or not?" he demanded, his words cutting through the tension like a knife.

The man's smirk faltered, replaced by a look of uncertainty. He spoke of Haden's troubled past, of the trouble he had stirred just like his mother.

"The boy has caused a lot of trouble just like his troubled mother,we cannot look past that but as long as the boy leaves the country by tomorrow morning we will not look for him or harm him in any way" the man said with a straight face

My heart dropped ,It was a bitter pill to swallow, but Tristan whispered to Sasha and me that it was the best option for Haden's safety. "Haden needs to lay low for a while and leaving the country would be the best option." Tristan said sternly "My men will prepare everything for him. They will make sure he leaves and arrives at his secret location safely."

Sasha nodded "I know this is hard but I agree with Tristan it's best he lays low as far away as possible."

I felt a lump form in my throat as we agreed to the terms, knowing that this would mean saying goodbye to Haden-perhaps forever. Haden tried to say something, but before he could, one of the men delivered a brutal blow to his stomach, sending him crashing to the ground.

With a heavy heart, Tristan handed over the money, the weight of our sacrifice hanging heavy in the air. The men dragged Haden forward, their leader delivering a final warning "Stay out of trouble boy"he said before disappearing into the night.

I immediately hugged Haden and he groaned at the pain of the bruises on his body before he returned the hug. He held me tightly and kissed my forehead "You are crazy" he said as breathed in my scent.

As Tristan and Sasha dropped us off at Haden's place. Tristan left some of his men to watch over us until morning just in case something went wrong.

"Thank you man" Haden said shaking Tristans hand. Tristan nodded before he left with Sasha.

Inside the house, Haden vowed never to leave me again, but I shook my head, my heart heavy with worry. I wanted him to be safe, to find refuge in a world far away from the dangers that had threatened to consume us.

"I can't leave you again Sierra, you don't understand...I am inlove with you" he said holding my face in the palm of his warm hands.

"You have to Haden not just for me but for your brother he still needs you. You are the only family he has left and I need you to stay alive too because ...I love you Haden"

I made him promise to leave and stay safe, for me and for his little brother. Tears welled in his eyes as he pulled me close, his lips meeting mine in a tender kiss. In that moment, as we made love on the couch, I knew that our bond was unbreakable, that no distance could ever truly separate us.

As the first light of dawn crept through the windows, we rose from our embrace, a sense of purpose guiding our every movement. Haden made me promise to graduate first with flying colors, to not let this whole experience distract me from the bright future that lay ahead.

The next morning, we were joined by Tristan as we escorted Haden to the airport. Tristan had arranged for a private jet to take Haden to a secret location where he would be safe.

"I love you Sierra. We will meet again because you are my forever. We will last forever." Haden whispered into my ears as he gave me a kiss on my forehead and a tear trickled down my right cheek.

As we said our final goodbyes, Haden promised to call me once he arrived, his voice filled with determination. He planned to head to London after everything settled, to see his little brother and start anew.

And as I watched him disappear into the terminal, a sense of peace washed over me, knowing that he was safe.
