Ivy was tending to the horses in the stables when the sound of a gunshot reached her ears. Although she knew Otis was hunting, she couldn't help but feel a slight unease about the unknown situation outside the farm.

She attempted to calm her nerves, but an unsettling sensation persisted within her. Unfortunately, her intuition proved accurate as she soon heard piercing screams just moments later.

With a swift motion, she turned on her heels, and her eyes locked onto a man cradling a wounded boy in his embrace. Just a few steps behind, she spotted Otis and another man desperately trying to close the gap between them.

Ivy's instincts kicked in, and she sprinted towards the man and the boy without a second thought. The man appeared completely drained, prompting Ivy to inquire with genuine concern, "What on earth happened?"

"We need your help, please!" the man begged. Ivy's gaze fell upon the young boy, and in an instant, she recognized the severity of his gunshot wound. "Dad!" Ivy's desperate cry echoed through the air as she urgently guided the man towards the entrance of her home.

As soon as Hershel caught wind of the screams, he swiftly dashed out of his home, only to be taken aback by the sight that unfolded before him. Without wasting a moment, he ushered the boy and man inside, with ivy close on their heels.

"Patricia, I require my complete set," Hershel insists, addressing Maggie and Ivy. "Yeah," you both respond. "I need you to fetch painkillers, along with clean towels, sheets, and alcohol," he instructs. As Ivy and Maggie swiftly gather everything he requested, you embark on the task at hand.

Ivy, Maggie, and Patricia entered the guest room, bringing everything they needed. The boy was lying on the bed, while Hershel carefully examined his wound.

Ivy and Maggie efficiently sort all the things out while Hershel checks the boy's heartbeat. "We have a heartbeat," Hershel announces. Patricia steps in, and Hershel requests Maggie to fetch the IV. "May I know your name?" Hershel inquires. "Rick," the man promptly responds.

"Rick, we're going to do everything we can, okay?" Hershel reassures him,"but you need to give us some room," hershel demands. Rick takes a step back, while Maggie skillfully tends to the IV, ensuring everything is in order.

While Rick ventures outside, Ivy and her family remain dedicated to aiding the injured boy.

Rick returns accompanied by Otis and another man. At the moment, Hershel is applying pressure to the wound of the young boy, while Ivy and Maggie prepare the IV.

"Do you know his blood type?" Hershel inquired. "A-positive, just like mine," Rick responded. "That's lucky. Stay close, I might need your help," Hershel informed him. "What happened?" Hershel asked, concerned.

Otis expressed his distress as he recounted the incident of tracking a buck and shooting it, only to find out that the bullet did not pass through cleanly. "The deer slowed the bullet down, which actually saved its life," Hershel explained, "but instead of going through cleanly, the bullet broke up into fragments. I managed to count six of them, and if I can remove them, it might help."

Ivy sensed Otis's remorse as he approached Patricia and confessed that he hadn't noticed the little boy. "Does Lori have any idea?"No," Shane replied, "my wife doesn't know." Rick repeated, his voice choked with tears.

Shane made the decision to go to the school in order to acquire supplies for Carl, as Carl's survival until morning was dependent on them. Feeling remorseful, Otis chose to accompany Shane on this mission.

After saying your goodbyes, Otis and Shane got into the car and drove away while you watched.

Ivy and the group devised a strategy to get Lori from the forest. Eventually, they concluded that Maggie should ride a horse to locate her. Despite her father's disapproval, Maggie proceeded with the mission.

As Ivy patiently waited for Maggie's return, she found herself sitting on the porch. Meanwhile, Rick and your father engaged in a conversation while she kept a watchful eye for her sisters arrival. Suddenly, Ivy spotted her and exclaimed, "Dad! Maggie's back!"

As Rick approached your sister and his wife Lori, it was evident how devastated she was. Witnessing Lori's emotional breakdown in her husband's embrace was truly heart-wrenching.

As they entered the house, they headed towards the guest room room. After some time, Patricia assisted Rick in giving Carl another blood transfusion. After that, in the kitchen, Ivy handed Rick a glass of orange juice, which he gratefully accepted and drank, saying, "Thank you."

After Ivy handed him the juice, she left the kitchen and made her way to the living room, where she settled down on the sofa.

In the guest room, Ivy found herself once again while Hershel checked Carl's blood pressure. "His pressures are dropping again," he informed, and Ivy shook her head in concern. "Dad, we can't afford to wait any longer," she said, and Hershel nodded in agreement, understanding the urgency.

Rick is determined to do everything in his power to buy his son more time, and he even proposes the idea of searching for Shane. However, Hershel and Lori strongly disagree with him. Ivy intervenes, saying, "Rick, I'm sorry, but you can't do anything. Lori and my dad are right. She needs you, and your son needs you." She says, walking out of the room to find maggie.
