You stare at your reflection in the grand mirror, the bright lights illuminating every detail of your transformed appearance. The dress, designed by Satin and Chenille, shimmers in radiant (f/c) hues, adorned with sparkling sequins that dance beneath the vibrant spotlights. It's a bold and captivating ensemble, embodying the exuberant spirit of Troll Village and perfectly capturing the essence of the fashion show you're about to grace.
Satin and Chenille had worked their magic, transforming you into a vision of elegance and beauty. Your hair, styled in an intricate updo, is adorned with delicate accessories that complement your outfit perfectly. Your makeup, expertly applied, accentuates your natural features, creating a look that is both glamorous and effortless. You have to admit, this helped boost your confidence a little.
As you wait for Branch to finish getting ready, you look at the other troll models. They all seem so professional as if they've done this a million times before. Well- All of them, except for two trolls who stand out for many reasons.
"Cooper? Prince D??" You smile at the brothers, who were laughing more than anyone else in the room. "Oh snap, Y/n? What're you doing here?" Cooper replies, returning your smile. "Oh, Branch and I are filling in for some trolls who got sick.." You explain, a nervous chuckle escaping your lips as you try to calm your racing heart.
"Oh, you're here with Branch?" Prince D raises an eyebrow, looking at his brother as they share a suspicious smile. Cooper nods, "I called it."
Your eyebrows twitch as you look at both of them. "Huh? What's that supposed to mean?" Confusion washes over you as you try to decipher their intentions.
Prince D grins and nudges his brother. "Oh, come on, D, don't keep her in suspense. Tell her what we've been saying."
Cooper rolls his eyes playfully before turning to you. "Well, Y/n, we've noticed a certain someone's been spending an awful lot of time with a certain grumpy old grump," he says, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. You feel your cheeks immediately flush. "What? Me?? No- I mean yes, he's Poppy's boyfriend. So of course I'm gonna spend a lot of time with him! The three of us." You stammer, trying to explain your close friendship with Branch while desperately attempting to hide the growing blush on your cheeks. They aren't buying it.
You cover your face in defeat. "Okay yes, but please- Don't tell Poppy. I swear, I'm not planning on acting on it- I just- You know-"
You pause, struggling to find the right words to explain the complicated feelings stirring within you. Cooper's smile softens. "Hey, Y/n, don't worry. We won't say anything to Poppy. We just wanted to tease you a bit." Prince D nods in agreement, his expression understanding. "Yeah, we get it. Sometimes feelings can get a little confusing, especially when you spend so much time with someone."
You give them a thankful smile, but Branch cuts you off before you can say anything else. "Oh, hey guys. I didn't know you'd also be here." Cooper and Prince D lean against each other, chuckling. "Chanille and Satin wanted to have brother models as well." They say, as you finally take a moment to look at their outfits. They're wearing matching suits in vibrant colors, accentuating their playful and charismatic personalities.
"Not to be mean or anything, but you're pretty much the last person I'd expect wearing a suit," Branch says to Cooper as he crosses his arms. In response, Cooper raises an eyebrow. "You're one to talk, Mr. I-Live-In-A-Bunker." You can't help but laugh at their banter. It's a lighthearted moment that helps ease your nerves, but only for a split second.
