Chapter 19

Maybe I should let them help. I mean we are kind of stuck and we are slowly drowning. My dad is going to be in for one HUGE Shocker!

"So.... who do we tell first?" I ask with smirk.

He breaks into a smile and pulls me into a hug.

"Your big man." He tells me.

"Great." I mumble. "Come on." I say looping my arms with his and leading the way out of the vines and through the forest , to my Pack house.

This is gonna be interesting!

Ariel Pov~ 

My heart was hammering against my chest. This is the moment I dreaded ever since Nathan and I were old enough to know what might happen if our parents ever found out about each other.

We had to hide behind trees and dodge patrols, I didn't want them to find or sense Nathan. Who knows what they might do?!

I grabbed onto Nathan's hand as I saw the last of the patrol run past us. He used his vampire speed to get us into the pack house within a blink of an eye. I was always amazed at his speed, considering we were miles away from the pack house. 

I realized we were in the hallway of my Mom and Dad's office. I sensed them inside. I glanced up at Nathan to try and read his emotions but honestly he didn't look fazed at all about what we were about to do. He was the Prince of the Vampires. His father the King has taught him many ways to hide his emotions and not to feel fear. 

But I knew Nathan better than that, I knew he was shitting bricks on the inside. 

"Ready?" I whispered. 

 He nodded slowly feeling quite unsure himself. I took a deep breathe and closing my eyes in the process. I felt him reach my shoulders giving it a little squeeze trying to reassure me. 

I opened my eyes and felt my lips tug into a small smile. I turned around and knocked the door hesitantly. 

"Come in." I hear from the other side of the Mahogany door. 

I grasped the gold door handle and reluctantly pushed down, opening the door slowly. I only opened the door slightly so they can only see me. I saw my mom by my dad's desk looking over papers. 

"Hey." My mom says smiling at me. 

I gave a nervous smile back, and when she saw my response her smile began to waver. My dad's face became serious and he asked in a curious way " What's going on Ariel?" 

"Before you say anything i need you o promise me that you won't freak out and overreact until I finish explaining myself." I say biting my lip in nervousness. My eyes went from my mom to my dad and then back to my mom, waiting for their response. 

"Okay." My dad agrees nodding at me. 

I sighed and opened the door all the way walking in with Nathan right behind me. I walked in front of their desk Nathan side by side. 

"This is Nathan, my best friend.....and also a Vampire..." 

Conner Pov~

I slammed my fist against the dark wood desk in frustration! "Bruh, where the hell is this stone!" I exclaimed to myself.

I was in my office searching for this stone and imprint that is on Ariels' hand. But it's like it seizes to exist! Like someone just conjured it up on their own. 

This print was unique, I had no idea what it represented. But I know one person who might know...

"Beta Conner, Sage is approaching the border." Oliver the guard midlinked.
