The feeling of his forehead pressing against the nape of your neck pulled you out of your sleep. Your eyes fluttered open gracing the world with your e/c irises, telling the world you lived another day.

Muzan, release that same involuntary sigh of relief when he felt you move. Laying next to you was a privilege from the gods and universe. It was a gift to be able to wake up next to a live you and wake up alive next to you. You were, the only human in this damned world that brought warmth to his sick heart. His heartbeat.

"Morning", he spoke softly kissing the back of your neck. You gave him a soft hum while turning over to face him. Tiredly, you moved your head to lay it on top of his chest. Muzan shifted his arms to give you a more comfortable position. His hands found home back around you again. You lay there listening to the rhythmic song of his heart. Like him, you released an inviolacy sigh of relief, his heart sounded weak, but it was working as best it could.

"What are you doing", Muzan asked. "Just making sure you're okay", you answered. "I'm fine", he reassured.

You lift yourself up allowing the covers to slip off you. The black locs were hanging over your shoulders as you looked down at him. A small frown was present on your face."You passed out yesterday Muzan you scared me", you said.

Muzan released a sigh and sat up with you. His sculpted weak hand reached out and gripped yours. His thumb rubbed a soothing circle against your skin. "I'm fine", he reassured you, ad himself.

You stared up at him for a bit before nodding your head and nuzzling more against his chest. His hand skidded down to rub your back. "I thought you were sleeping in the other room", he asked. "The doctor told me it was fine to sleep with you", you answered. "Why think I was sneaking in here to scare you", you giggled. "I did", he replied. "I would never, I don't want your heart to stop", you chuckled. "How else would I be able to solve you", Muzan chuckled with you. "Exactly, so tread lightly".

"I don't need my heart to love you", Muzan said. "I love you with my mind, my soul, and my pe-gross!", you laughed before he could finish what he was going to say. You reveled in the feeling of his chest shaking when he released a deep laugh.

"Can I get my breakfast now", he sighed coming down from his laugh. "Of course my love", you smiled quickly standing up. As soon as both of your feet hit the floor you felt yourself tense up. Before you know it the next thing you saw was the ceiling.

Muzan eyes went wide and quickly jumped out of the bed and crashed to the floor down beside you.

"DOCTOR DOCTOR", he screamed grabbing your shaking body and pulling you towards him. He quickly maneuvered his knees under your head.

"DOCTOR", Muzan screamed once more before the doctor rushed into the room. The doctor rushed up to the two of the young fell to his knees. Your body started to slowly stop shaking violently.

"Flip her onto her side", the doctor said reaching out to flip you on your side with Muzan's help. Spit and drool leaked from your mouth spilling onto the saw floors. Muzan watched anxiously as you slowly stopped shaking his hand rubbing your forearm in hopes of bringing you back to him.

"Don't worry she's going to be okay", the doctor reassured. "I know", Muzan snapped then started to cough violently. He gripped the front of his robe as he felt the familiar feeling of pins and needles in his lungs and throat. This was hell.

"The two of you are getting worse", the doctor sighed.

Muzan's hand snatched the doctor's collar like a hawk grabbing its prey. Yanking him to plant his hands down on the floor to avoid falling if Muzan were to let go. The grip Muzan had around his collar almost restricted his breathing.

"Then make the medicine", Muzan snarled. "I-I am sir but", the doctor began to say. "But what", Muzan glared. "There is nothing to cure her", the doctor answered.

Muzan released and dragged the man closer to his face. "Yes, there is", he seethed. "You will make the cure for her or your guts will be spilled over these floors".

"...I'll do my best", the doctor said. Muzan gave him one last glare before shoving him back. The doctor landed on his rear hard. Quickly scrambling to his feet he rushed out of the room.

By the time the doctor left you came to, you rolled onto your back. "Another one", you asked weakly. "Yes", Muzan answered. You released a weak hum in response. "Can you get up", Muzan asked crawling towards you to be able to touch your face, his hands rubbed your cheeks gently. "Eventually, I'm too tired to", you answered. "We'll lay down here then", Muzan said moving to lay down beside you. "On the dirty floor, you'll get sick", you giggled weakly. "I'm already sick dear", he said sliding his arms around your waist and pulling you towards his chest. You turned on your side to be able to dig your face against his chest. Muzan pressed his face down against your hair allowing the curls to kiss his pale cheeks.

"What about breakfast", you asked. "It can wait", he answer clinging to you in fear you would try to pull away. You nodded your head and returned the loving squeeze. The two of you continued to lay on the floor, silently thanking whoever that you were alive in each other's arms today.
