The Uber ride was rather silent, except for the music on the radio. You knew Sukuna was staring at you but you kept your gaze out the window. Once you arrived at Granny Ogami's house you quickly exited the vehicle and thanked the driver. Luckily her house wasn't far from Mr. Fushiguro's house. Your house on the other hand was a bit of a walk. As soon as you took your first step on the cobblestone path you turned to the vampire. "Please be considerate of Tsumiki, she is a sweet little girl and does not need to hear about violence okay?"
Sukuna placed his hands in his pockets looking up at the sky, "I can behave myself, keeper."
You frowned once again at the title, you didn't really like it. It made him sound like a prisoner and you were the warden, "I don't like when you call me that..."
"Why?" he looked at you with a raised brow," You are my keeper."
"I... I know but... could you not call me that?"
You heard the front door open and Tsumiki came running. "Bunny!" She screamed as she ran and threw herself at you.
You released a giggle as you wrapped your arms around her. "Hey Sumi!"
"Look look!" She pulled back and smiled, pushing her tongue through the gap missing on her top row of teeth.
"Oh my goodness! You lose a tooth!"
Tsumiki giggled as she nodded, showing the tooth wrapped in a napkin that was balled up within her hand, "Yeah! I'm going to put it under my pillow for the tooth fairy!" her eyes then darted to the man beside you, pointing a finger at him she asked, "Who's that?"
"Sumi it's not nice to point. This is a friend of mine his name is Sukuna. Sukuna this is Tsumiki."
"Are you bunny's boyfriend?"
Sukuna began to laugh as you shook your head quickly, "No no sweety he's just a friend."
She stared at him with a questioning expression. "Oh, is he nice?"
"Yes... right, Sukuna?"
"If that's what you want from me."
Again, his tone and the words he spoke, made him sound bound to you. Which he was but it was a sour feeling to have this vampire chained to you against his will. At the same time, you feared what he'd do with freedom or with someone else.
A sweet voice called to you from the door. Granny Ogami waving at you with Tsumiki's bag in hand. "Hello, bunny~!"
You walked toward the door leaving Tsumiki and Sukuna.
"Hi Gran Gran." you smiled at her as you hugged her. She had been in this neighborhood for as long as you could remember. The sweetest old lady who baked goods and gardened. The only thing... she was a little crazy at times. So most people stayed away from her. You tried to befriend her as you got older. She just seemed like a lonely old woman. So you listened to her woes and spoke about your life. She was nice and listened to every story you told like it was the greatest tale.
"How have you been sweety?"
"Good...you?" you melted in the hug the two of you rocking as she patted your back.
"Same old same old."
Pulling away from the woman you grabbed Tsumiki's bag. "I hope Tsumiki didn't give you a hard time."
"Oh, she never does..." just as you pulled the bag the elder woman grabbed your hand, it surprised you because her grip was strong for an older woman. "That man..." she stared past you, looking at Sukuna who was dying of boredom as Tsumiki babbled about her tooth.
"Oh- yeah he's a friend of mine." you patted her hand that was wrapped around your wrist.
"Hmm..." her eyes then moved to you, a smile gracing her lips. You had noticed something strange within her eyes but you weren't sure what it meant. "You be careful with him. His curse energy is none I've ever seen before." she sounded almost amazed, starstruck even. There lies the cuckoo that everyone spoke about. She spoke about curse energy and how the dead speak to her... She was deemed a nutcase, and even your parents told you to stay far away from her. After meeting Momo things like that didn't bother you. They believed what they believed, and it wasn't hurting anyone.
Now that you look over your shoulder at the King of the dead... you began to realize maybe it was everyone else that was wrong. "Okay... 'll keep that in mind."

Getting the key from under the welcome mat you let the three of you into the house. It was a nice-sized house with three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a small dining area. Usually when you stay over you sleep on the couch, you don't feel comfortable sleeping in Mr. Fushiguro's bed or Megumi's even though both have offered it to you. Getting into the kitchen Tsumiki followed you still talking about tooth business.
"And Holly got a ten-dollar bill! I hope I get a twenty! One kid got a dollar, how does the tooth fairy decide how much money she gives you?"
"Well..." you opened the fridge and cabinets looking for food. Sometimes you were lucky enough to find enough ingredients to make a meal. You had bought a bunch of meat during your last visit and froze it hoping Mr. Fushiguro would cook it instead of eating TV diners but he didn't. They just sat in there waiting for your return. "Uh...it just... depends?" you weren't sure how to answer that question. You certainly weren't going to tell her it depends on how much money their parents make.
"I hope she gives me lots of money!" Tsumiki giggled as she ran up the stairs. "I'm going to go put it under my pillow now!"
You smiled watching her disappear but soon realized Sukuna was not in the kitchen. Walking back toward the door you caught him staring at the Fushiguro's family photos. He was staring at one in particular. Walking beside him you saw it was the one with Megumi, a few others, and you. It was Megumi's twelfth birthday. Despite being older than Megumi you had become his tutor and became friends with the family. Tsumiki came in later when Fushirguro remarried and had another kid. Unfortunately, the woman ended up dying in a car crash leaving him with the little girl. The man had terrible luck, for both of his wives died. Everyone expected him to be broken, but he kept pushing forward. Some neighbors say that he never loved his second wife anyway and it didn't bother him. You always told them people grieve in different ways. He could be a silent griever crying alone in his room late at night. Maybe that's why you do what you can to help. You felt bad for him.
Sukuna stood silently, rubbing his chin with a thumb. "You have a thing for men with black hair?"
"Ah? I don't like Megumi. He's just someone I grew up with."
"The dilf."
"N-no."
"You didn't answer the question."
"Sukuna I... why do you want to know?"
"Getou."
At his name, you opened your mouth and then shrugged. "Yes... I like Getou, but not because he has black hair."
"Why?"
Why? Why did you like Getou? "He's... I have a lot of history with him. We grew up together and I always... Liked him. Admired him. He's kind gentle and sweet."
"Sounds like Megumi."
"Sukuna- it's not the same Getou is very different!"
Sukuna seemed to ponder your statement, and said nothing else to you. He shifted past you and flopped on the couch, "How long are we going to be here?"
"... Until tomorrow." hopefully. Sometimes Toji would say he needed you to stay longer.
"I will need to feed. When we do it is up to you."
You looked over to him as you headed to the kitchen, his eyes were closed shut. You would have to feed him? Again? So soon!?
