Sitting in the jet with the black haired woman staring out the window was quite awkward, not knowing where you're going, but everything was better than living in your father's presence. The woman was very pretty, black hair in a ponytail and really cool earrings, also that outfit, wow. Suddenly, she spoke up and broke you out of your thoughts.

"I'm Sage." She said calmly, keeping strong eye contact with you, not smiling, being rather serious.
You clear your throat and let out a nervous giggle.
"Y/N." You replied with a shy smile, trying your hardest to maintain the eye contact.

Sage looked you up and down with a skeptical look, judging your sweats and sneakers that you had on, what was this?! some fashion show?! You slowly looked at the window, cringing at your choice of clothing. Soon, Sage's eyes wandered off you, also to the window. After another 15 minutes of flying in awkward silence the jet landed in front of a big building that didn't look that fancy. Before you could stand up the doors opened and Sage stood up, giving you a small smile and nodding before heading out the jet. Weirdly the smile comforted the nervous feeling you had inside you.. You stood up and exited the jet, thanking the pilot.
You cross your arms defensively and look at the building. Where am I? You thought to yourself as you caught up with Sage who was already heading inside.

"So, do you know why you're here?" She asked with a curious tone, having a slight accent as she entered the building.
"Um, not really." You answered quietly, closing the door behind you. In the other room you could hear some creatures making noises..
"Moshpit!" You heard a boy yell and then a splash.
"Gekko!" A woman's voice screeched, what is going on..?

Sage led you to a room where she sat you down behind a desk. You looked around the room, getting more nervous by the second. Sage sat down in front of you, looking at you with a calm expression, trying to put on a little smile to ease your nerves. She leaned a bit forward before speaking.

"Have you heard of 'Valorant'?" She asked, tilting her head, studying your face.
You shook your head slowly. "No, I don't think so." You answered quietly.
Sage sighed and nodded.
"Alright, I'll tell you. Valorant is.. a group of people with special abilities.. like you. We fight other groups with our copies, attacking or defending, but usually defending." She explained, while keeping perfect eye contact.
You furrow your eyebrows. "Special abilities..? H-How do you know that I have special abilities?" You asked with a curious tone.
Sage let out a soft chuckle. "We can kinda tell these kinds of things.. anyways, it would be great if you joined the team, we could use your abilities. If you don't want to just say so and you'll be back home in no time."

You stayed quiet. That sounded dangerous, fighting other groups while defending or attacking with a bomb, the spike, but also back home it's no better with your father. After all, there would be other people there, so you couldn't get hurt, right?

You nod and look up at Sage.
"Sure, I'll join, but I know nothing about my abilities."
"That's what we're for, we'll teach you!" Sage said as she stood up, motioning for you to do the same and follow her out the room. You sighed and looked at your clothes before following her. You follow Sage into a bigger room, a comfier one being decorated quite nicely. Suddenly the door swings open and a boy with the same voice as before enters with a slimy blob looking thing running next to him, Gekko? you question yourself before he notices you and comes over to you with a warm smile.

"Hey, you're new, I swear I haven't seen you before, and there's not many of us you know!" He says with a playful tone. "I'm Gekko." he says as he extends a hand out for a handshake.
You smile and shake his hand. "Y/N." You say with a polite but slightly shy tone.
Gekko chuckles. "So, what's your abilities?" He asks curiously, tilting his head.
"Gekko leave her be." Sage says calmly while leaning on a couch next to you. You let out a soft chuckle and glance at Sage.
"No no it's okay.. um.. I'm actually not sure, I never really got to know them." You say with an unsure tone. Gekko's eyebrows furrow for a second then he proceeds to smile again.
"Oh damn you are new." He says with a joking tone. Suddenly a slimy creature runs up to him. He laughs and glances at the thing, then back at you. You look at the creature with a cringing look, trying to figure out what it is.
"Don't be afraid, that's Mosh, he's no harm. The others are somewhere here too.." he says as he looks around but fails to find the others. You chuckle awkwardly and nod, looking around the room.
