The week rolled by in a blur and the day of Megumi's doctor's appointment arrived. Megumi is now five weeks pregnant. His belly is still small but it's not as flat as it used to be.

Sukuna has made it a need of his to hold Megumi close every night, even the nights he came home later than usual.

He would move about silently and swiftly, showering before pulling the Omega close. Megumi doesn't question where he had been or what he had been doing. But in the back of his mind, he knew. He wasn't that innocent to be blind to the desires of men, their inability to go without that need. While his touch felt warm and comforting to the baby, it also caused an uneasiness for Megumi to know he had been doing something so dirty only to then touch him.

Megumi still hasn't called or texted Toji and his father hadn't done so either. Megumi misses him but it's easier this way because if they spoke, it would only hurt worse.

"Hey, stop it!" Choso shouts from the other side of the door. Megumi turns around, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

Suddenly, the bedroom door is thrown open as Satoru runs in. He throws his arms around Megumi, smiling at him brightly.

"Hi Memi~! Guess what, I get to see you more and come with! Isn't that awesome?!" Satoru explains, reminding Megumi of how he used to be with Toji. Megumi would always hug the man and just be content to go everywhere with him, even if it was tedious places like the grocery store or to talk to Shui in his garage about adult stuff.

Megumi smiles sadly, ruffling the boy's fluffy white hair. Their age gap isn't too big and yet it feels like he's dealing with a child craving love.

"Yeah, it is." Megumi replies sincerely. Satoru pauses, his hands twitching. He doesn't say anything, hugging Megumi tighter and burying his face into Megumi's shoulder. He doesn't understand Megumi or why he even wants to see him. Something about Megumi is warm but... Satoru thought he was okay with the cold? He had been left in it since he was young; alone.

"Get off Master Megumi, you're going to crush him and the baby." Choso scolds, grabbing onto the back of Satoru's neck as if he were a feisty kitten misbehaving. Satoru whines but doesn't fight as Choso pulls him away.

Sukuna knocks on the door, "Both of you, behave yourselves. Megumi, lets go."

"Right here is your little one. As of now, the baby is the size of a poppy seed." The doctor, Nagi Yoshino, smiles as she points at the ultrasound. Megumi looks despite knowing he shouldn't. His gaze softens at the sight of the baby growing inside his body, his hand reaching out and grabbing Sukuna's.

"The baby is so small... that's so fascinating." Megumi responds, in complete awe.

"Don't worry, you'll receive the printed pictures." She smiles but her words cause Megumi's smile to fall. He has awoken from his dream, his hand slipping from Sukuna's hold. Megumi had forgotten, for a brief moment, that he is nothing but a surrogate. This child will not be his and he won't be allowed to see or care for the baby. The contract states he's only meant to carry and birth the baby.

    Nothing more.

"Only print what Sukuna wants. I don't want any, thank you." Megumi forces a smile, and he hopes it isn't noticeable that it's fake.

The doctor nods her head and doesn't speak further about it. He tunes the conversation Sukuna has with the doctor out, too lost in his own thoughts. He wonders if his father has any of his ultrasound pictures. He never thought to ask, it had never occurred to him before.

If Megumi keeps a photo, he'll only think about a piece of him that has been lost when he shouldn't even have allowed his emotions to become intertwined. Multiple Omegas have and are still doing what he is, if they can manage to keep their emotions in control then shouldn't he be able to as well?

Satoru leaves the doctor's office without saying a word, causing Choso to wear a look of confusion. He just hopes the kid isn't getting himself into trouble. He is always doing unexpected things and he is often misunderstood by people.

"Let's go." Sukuna places his hand on top of Megumi's head, looking at him expectantly. Megumi nods, getting up from the patient's chair.

Sukuna slings his arm around Megumi's shoulders, leading him as they walk. Something ugly is taking root in Megumi's chest and he is doing his best to push it away. Crying over his circumstances will get him nowhere, he should be thankful he wasn't sold off into a marriage he didn't want.

"Memi!" Satoru calls, jogging towards him from the direction of the gift store. He smiles sweetly, holding up a wolf stuffed animal and a bag of chips. Megumi looks at the offering and back at Satoru, a gentle expression forming on his face. He takes the stuffed animal and the snack, the ugliness in his chest beginning to fade as if it didn't exist in the first place.

"Thank you, Satoru." Megumi hugs the stuffed animal to his chest. A small yet genuine smile forms on his face, reminded why he began doing this in the first place. He can be strong and he can keep it together.

"We have dinner with my father tonight." Sukuna places his hand onto Megumi's lower back, leading them as the group continues walking.

Choso and Satoru fall behind a bit, Choso looking at the younger with suspicion. "What mischief are you up to?" He whispers, unsure if his intentions are pure. Satoru is troublesome and Choso doesn't need him evoking Sukuna's wrath from pulling pranks on Megumi.

"He just seemed sad. You really should pay more attention to people around you, Choso~"

"Since when did you care about others?" Choso is baffled by his response. Satoru smiles and shrugs innocently, skipping ahead to walk beside Megumi.

"Damn kid..." Choso mutters, shaking his head. He decides the best thing to do for now is keep a close eye on Satoru to make sure he doesn't act out of line. Sukuna isn't very forgiving, and he won't be if Satoru causes Megumi any trouble. Choso doesn't want any harm to come Satoru's way, he's just a kid even if he's slightly deranged.

Choso has the tendency to look after those younger than him, he's a brotherly figure to many because of it. He assumes that's also why Sukuna decided that Choso would be best to look after Megumi who will need someone with that type of sincere empathy. Sukuna putting that type of attention into Megumi and who would look after him is the most surprising in Choso's opinion. His boss had zero interest in the Omega chosen to carry his child.

Perhaps it's lust, Choso wouldn't be surprised if that's the start of why Sukuna has begun to care for Megumi. Even if Sukuna can come across as a heartless guy, he's loyal to his people. He will be there for them and if he hasn't already, Choso believes that Sukuna will begin to see Megumi as his. Likely on a more... possessive level compared to how he feels towards his subordinates.

"How many children do you want, Megumi?" Satoru tilts his head, looking at Megumi with a cheeky smile.

"Hm... I think two." Megumi answers because it feels right. When he pictures his children... if he were to fall in love and find sincere happiness with another person, he sees two children. One in his arms and another holding his hand. They would most likely be little copies of him, his genetics are strongest.

"Enough questions." Sukuna glares, pulling Megumi closer.
