The show opens with a throwback intro

Almost everyone is standing around the ring. Nick Aldis is standing in the ring with a mic. He raises it to speak.
Aldis: welcome to the rebirth of Friday Night Smackdown. as you can see we've gone back in time with the stage and intro, that's because that was the peak of smackdown. i hope all of you around this ring can show me that Smackdown is the A show around here.
The crowd cheer.
Aldis: i'd like to ask the only man who isn't ringside to come out. the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
Roman walks out alone. The Usos and Solo drafted to Raw, Paul is also nowhere to be seen. For the first time ever, the Tribal Chief walks to the ring alone.
He walks up the stairs and climbs into the ring. He gets a mic and holds his title in his other hand.
Aldis: look Roman, i tried getting the Usos and Solo here but Pierce got to them before i could. but that's the past now, we need to find a #1 Contender for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.
Roman: it's not the WWE Championship Aldis, it's th-
Aldis: i know what it was, but like almost everything else it has been rebranded. it is once again the WWE Championship. at the Royal Rumble the replacement for that title will be revealed and presented to the winner. no-
Seth: Aldis, i'm gonna make your job a lot more simple.
Seth is now standing on the apron. He steps into the ring.
Seth: before i was drafted here i was World Heavyweight champion, but i never got my rematch. so it's only fair i get a shot at that to make up for it.
Some of the crowd cheer while some boo.
Aldis: Seth a-
Moxley: you gotta be kidding me, you always have something to bitch about don't you Seth?
Jon slides into the ring while everyone else is still standing ringside, male and female.
Jon: Aldis, i deserve the title shot. when i was Champion i got screwd out of it, by James Elsworth and Aj Styles.
Aldis: as much as i enjoy this Shield reunion, minus De-
Seth: we don't mention him Aldis. and this isn't a shield reun-
The crowd are all confused looking around the arena until someone walks through a curtain in the crowd. He stands there for a moment before walking down the stairs shield style.
The man reaches the barricade and jumps over it. Everyone moves away from him. He stands ringside for a moment looking at the men in the ring. He gets a mic then slowly climbs onto the ring apron how the shield did.
He looks at all 4 men in the ring. He steps in and walks straight up to Aldis as the shield theme slowly fades. He speaks but his voice distorted.
???: i want that title, i want a match against these 3.
Roman: hold on a minute, this freak shows up out of nowhere and demands a title match?! not to menti-
He is cut off with a superkick by the masked man. Jon runs at him but is just met with a spinning heel kick.
Seth tries but is caught with a samoan drop. The man stands up with his back to the main camera. He takes his mask off looking at Aldis.
The crowd are going nuts as the men and women around the ring are all stunned. He turns looking at the main camera. He sees Seth laying on the floor in the ring.
Dean climbs to the top them hits The Unleashed. He stands and shouts looking at the sky. He then looks at Aldis and stands face to face with him.
Dean: make the match, and i'll sign for Smackdown instead of Raw. you have a week to make up your mind.
Dean exits the ring. Everyone backs away from him. He walks over to the barricade then climbs back over it. Dean walks up the stairs he walked down earlier with a smirk on his face.
