"and what, mr. roberts, is the escape velocity out of neptune?"
"th-the what?" he was staring at her. cassie. a dream in which a boy drools over his science textbook over a nerdy girl in thick framed glasses. she looks over at him and catches him staring. god, dang it. now she's going to think im some creepy weirdo.
giggling erupts from the room. luke looks up to see his teacher mr. pennit looking down on him. "mr. roberts. care to explain why i had to repeat my question multiple times before you snapped out of your blushing trance?"
"m-my what, sir?" says luke still recovering from his embarrassing moment with cassie. cassie, luke internally sighs, his eyes, once again trailing his eyes over to her lovely brown hair. it was always pulled up with an elastic, her freckles always fully revealed as well as her cute ears that stick out a little from her head. her eyes were like swimming in that chocolate river from willy wonka. so dark and full of life.
it was much more beauty than marlene could ever give, with her caked on makeup, stick straight, bleach blonde hair, and and contact-blue eyes. the girl was full of crap.

but what was more full of crap than marlene was the way cassie looked at him. like her was some idiot from mars that didn't have a brain. I'll show her, thought luke. I'm gonna make her like me and I'm not going down with a fight.
