They quickly ran into trouble. A group of stormtroopers had been coming down the hallway. “It’s them! Blast them!” One of the troopers shouted.

Han shot first and began to chase after them as the stormtroopers ran away. “Get back to the ship!” He shouted to Luke, Leia, and Grim.

“Where are you going?” Luke exclaimed, but Solo was already gone.

“He certainly has courage,” Leia commented.

“What good will it do us if he gets himself killed? Come on,” said Luke.

The three of them ran in the direction of the ship. More stormtroopers came after them and fired at them. Grim ignited her lightsaber and began to deflect the blasterfire back to cover their retreat.

They reached a giant gap where the bridge had not been activated and almost fell to their deaths. “I think we took a wrong turn,” said Luke.

Stormtroopers began to fire at them and Leia slammed the door shut. “There’s no lock!”

Luke shot the controls. “That should hold them for a while.”

“Quick we’ve got to get across. Find the controls to extend the bridge,” said Leia.

“I think I just blasted it.”

“I have an idea on how we can get across with it, but I need you to trust me,” said Grim.

“Well, what is it?” asked Leia.

“I can use the Force to throw the two of you across.”

“What about you?” Luke asked.

“I can make the jump.”

“Nobody can make that jump.”

“I have the Force. Can the two of you trust me?”

There was a moment’s hesitation as they looked at each other and then Grim. “Yes,” they decided together.

“Good,” she replied. “Leia, you’re up first.” She picked Leia up with the Force, and threw her across the gap. Leia landed on the other side. “Alright, Luke, your turn.” She threw him across and he landed next to Leia.

She prepared herself for her jump, reaching into the Force for its power, but before she could a stormtrooper appeared from another entry way and fired a shot at her. She ducked instead and pulled out her lightsaber, igniting the shining blade. The stormtrooper fired at her again. She deflected the bolt and hit him instead causing him to fall down. “Yikes, I do not want to mess this up,” she muttered to herself as she watched him fall.

Two more stormtroopers arrived, and she deflected their blasterfire as well. It wasn’t long before she had dealt with them as well.

Before anymore could arrive she prepared herself again and leapt into the air. She landed in between Luke and Leia with ease. “Okay, let’s get moving.”

They continued to run as the stormtroopers continued to chase them. Grim continued to cover them as she deflected blasterfire with ease, as Luke occasionally shot back at them.

She felt something in the Force, and she knew deep inside what had started. Dread filled her heart. The closer they got closer to the Falcon, the worse it became. She had tried to push it back for the sake of Luke, Leia, and Han, but she knew what was about to happen. The worst part was: She knew she could not stop it.

She had said her final goodbye, but she hadn’t said enough. There would never be enough time or enough words to say all of the things she wanted to say to Obi-Wan. They had been apart for sixteen years, and the six years they had known each other, he had never truly known Grim, he had just known her the best out of everyone.

He could have never fully known her, as she had kept too many secrets. He had never pressed her to talk about them, and he understood her more than so many others. He had wanted to help her, and he had, and there would never be enough time or words to thank him for all he had done for her.

Now, he was about to die, and she knew he was already facing Vader. She wished she was with him, she wished she could help him, and that she could save him, but she couldn’t.

They reached Han. “What kept you?” He asked the three of them.

“We ran into some old friends,” Leia replied.

“Let’s hope the old man got the tractor beam out of commission,” said Han.

“He did,” said Grim, as her heart felt ready to shatter.

The stormtroopers began to run off, distracted by something else. She knew what it was and she wished she didn’t, she once again wished she didn’t know what was about to happen.

“Look,” said Luke.

“Now’s our chance. Go!” said Han.
