I open my eyes suddenly. My eyes are having trouble adjusting to the brightness of the room I am in. My face is covered in sweat and my hands are clammy. It was only a dream. A nightmare indeed. I had dreamed of him for a long time. Of my father. Of this monster. Or rather I was just dreaming.

- You're awake... Angie said to me, running her hand through my tangled hair.

Based on the tone of his voice, I assume it wasn't a question. More of an affirmation.

I look over at her and realize my head is still resting on her shoulder. So she didn't change position while I fell asleep. It must have been almost a week if not two since I had slept. I couldn't actually. Every time I closed my eyes, his face appeared in my mind. It's like he haunts my dreams.

- Him again? she asks me, stopping her little movements in my hair.

This time, I could have said it was a question, but that would be a lie. She knew the answer. And that, without me even telling him. Rather, my silence said a lot.

- I see... she said, answering her own question.

She started petting my head again. I looked around me. I was still in the train cabin. Nothing had moved, not even our suitcases, the food on the table. Nothing. Suddenly, the door opened suddenly revealing a young woman with a familiar face: Pansy!

- Here you are! she told us smiling.

I must have been looking for you for twenty minutes! Twenty minutes. I only slept for twenty minutes!? I felt like I had slept for hours.

- We searched I don't know how many cabins to find you! she said laughing.

I look at my sister confused, and she gives me the same look.

- Wait... Did you say us? Angie asks.

Pansy opens her mouth to respond, but is interrupted by voices too familiar to recognize. At the same time, I see Enzo appear in the cabin, followed closely by Theo and Draco.

- HERE YOU ARE! shouted Enzo, who seemed really excited to see us.

He pushed past everyone to come and hug me. As soon as I got up, I felt two arms wrap around me.

- I missed you too Enzo! I said laughing while wrapping my arms around his body.

- And us then? I hear behind me.

I turn around and see Draco and Theo looking at me and smiling. I rush into their arms. A gesture that they both welcome. When I break out of our embrace, Theo ruffles my hair with his right hand and gives me a small kiss on the cheek. I moved away from him to go sit in my original place and I put my head on the window of the cabin. I jump when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I quickly turn around only to realize that it was only my sister who had also taken her place. She removed her hand and left a space between her and me on the bench. The boys, for their part, had taken their places in front of us while Pansy had slipped between Angie and me, filling the gap that my sister had left.

- So anything new? Theodore asked, smiling.

Enzo nods from side to side in response, followed by Draco. Pansy's eyes were shining.

- Well don't ask me how I know that but I know that this year there will be a new student in our year. But-

- How do you know that! Draco said laughing.

- Oh but shut up! she said, laughing. So I was saying that I learned that there was going to be a new student in our year. I also know that he will be assigned to one of the four houses before the first years.

- Do you know his name? asked Angie, who seemed rather interested in what Pansy was saying.

- No, that's the problem, no matter how much I searched, I couldn't find any information on who the student is. OH MY GOD! she shouted, turning towards me. IMAGINE IF HE IS HOT!! Oh my god, oh my god!!

I start laughing, while the boys roll their eyes.

- What? We're not pretty enough for you? Enzo said, batting those eyelashes.

- Yet the majority of girls at school line up to be able to talk to us... said Theo.

- Yeah, you hope so! Angie said laughing.

I laughed a little before putting my head back on the window. Pensive, I watch the landscape pass before my eyes. Forests, giving way to bodies of water, giving way to fields... It's so peaceful. It's as if time speeds up time by a few minutes.

I then heard Draco start talking about how his father absolutely wanted him to become a Death Eater before Christmas break. Theo was telling him about his sister who was going to start her first year at Hogwarts. Enzo for his part talked about everything and nothing. Finally, Pansy also seemed thoughtful as she looked at Draco.

I could feel the sun's rays, or rather their warmth, on my cheeks. As I sniffed, I could smell the chocolate, probably coming from the food cart. I closed my eyes, enjoying these few seconds of happiness.

It was so rare. For the past few months, every time I closed my eyes, even for a few seconds, all my memories began to haunt me. But this time, I saw nothing but total darkness. But not a dangerous black, more of a relaxing black. Then those few seconds turned into minutes. And when I finally opened my eyes, I noticed the large castle beginning to rise up in the landscape.

It was officially the start of this new year...
