- 1663, Edo period, Japan -

Petals of white flowed alongside the blazing wind, Glazing the land in a white coat of snow. As the sun was covered by the dark clouds that plagued the sky, but the snow would be disrupted by a set of footsteps. Crushing the delicate snow as it left a footprint... revealing a robed figure walking through one of Japan's many forests. The figure wore a blue attire, as they let the robe fly along with the wind, a large straw hat protecting themfrom the sun while hiding majority of their facial features, obscuring the true colour of the figures eyes. A blade hung by their hip, strapped tightly to their body, the figure continued their march to the nearest town. As minutes passed as the figure had moved through the small village gates, they saw not a single soul residing outside the surrounding buildings caused by the extreme cold.

A group of kids emerged from the alleyway, tailing the new comer. As the figure walked the group soon exiting the alleyway to retrieve a stone from the snowy ground. Hurling back as the child intended to pitch it towards the robed figure... but was ceased as the figure halted their march and turned. Revealing a feminine face whose eyes were obscured by a pair of orange tinted glasses.

The children looked in shock, quickly taking off as fear flushed through their system. The figure simply turned back around, stepping forward to continue their march towards their desired destination. Stepping through the door as they had now entered a small Soba restaurant, taking a seat isolated from the rest of the customers. A man who looked as if he was the owner of said restaurant, looked at the newcomer. He's eyes darted open, quickly entering the kitchen as the owner saw a tall yet large male, humming a tune as he could be seen working on what seems to be the restaurant's signature dish.

Owner: Ringo! A customer, big hat!

The newly named man named Ringo, looked over spotting the new come customer as his face lit up with enthusiasm. Rushing out of the kitchen room as he reached the samurai's table, kneeling at the edge of the table to came a quick seat leaning his body to form a bow, as he began to speak.

Ringo: Welcome sir, I'll bring you some tea, it's not good tea, but it's hot and you're frozen, I'll bring a rag too cause when I'm frozen. My snot drips... then I'll bring a nice big soba. We make the best soba here. Honest, bad tea, great soba, okay.

The mysterious samurai simply nodded, approving the now talkative male's request. Smiling widely in delight, he stood from his seat before heading into the kitchen to craft the samurai's meal. Humming a tune to keep a somewhat cheerful atmosphere within the restaurant, the tall assistant was interrupted, a leg extended from another customer. A rude male tone ruptured from them...

???: Stumby! More noodles, and fast!

Bowing to the rude individual, he continued his way to the kitchen. The rude customer wore an orange kimono as stripes draped giving him a somewhat bland appearance, thought the ronin. The man was accompanied by two woman, sitting quietly as they looked down in sadness. The ronin watched... as the male suddenly belittled them, as they were property. Mentioning about selling them off to a brothel, but the ronin attempted to pay no mind to the scene in their sight.
