------------------------------------------
As the morning sun rose, Jeongin sipped on a steaming cup of coffee while gazing at the breathtaking skyline view from his luxurious condominium. Dressed in a sleek black suit, Jeongin made his way to his family-owned company, which he had recently taken over from his father. Despite having a busy schedule ahead, Jeongin was confident that he could handle everything with ease.
Upon reaching his office, Jeongin was greeted by his assistant, Len, who had already prepared a fresh cup of coffee and a tablet for him. "Good morning, sir. You have quite a busy day ahead. Are you ready?" Len asked. "Absolutely, Len. What's the first item on my schedule?" Jeongin replied.
"Your first meeting is with Kim Fern, who manages our media page and helps with event planning," Len informed him. Jeongin nodded, and the two headed towards the conference room to kick-start the day's proceedings.
( Felix Mansion )
Felix's morning routine always began with a refreshing cup of water and a hot shower. However, today was no ordinary day for him. He had a meeting scheduled with the Yangs empire, and the thought of it made him anxious. To make matters worse, Jeongin, his ex-partner, was a part of the team he was about to meet. Felix had not parted on the best of terms with Jeongin, and he had no clue what he was walking into.
As he reached his office, Felix took a moment to pause and look out of the big window, lost in thought. Memories of the time he and Jeongin had spent together flooded his mind, and he felt a sense of unease creeping up on him. During the meeting, Felix found it hard to focus, but he was relieved that his best friend and colleague, Han, had his back. Han made sure that Felix understood what was happening and helped him navigate through the meeting.
----
Jeongin and Felix were in a romantic relationship for quite some time until they decided to break up due to the stress that the demands of their respective lives had placed on them. Felix was burdened with the responsibility of running his family company, which often meant that he had to deal with his father's constant pressure and scrutiny. This situation was made worse by the fact that Felix's father did not approve of Jeongin and actively disliked him.
On the other hand, Jeongin was dealing with the challenges of being a college student, which included maintaining good grades and pleasing his father. The stress of these responsibilities caused a significant amount of tension between the couple, which resulted in a big fight and an eventual breakup.
Despite the break-up, Jeongin still deeply loves Felix and believes that they were simply not ready for a relationship at that point in their lives. Jeongin is aware that they both tried their best, but sometimes the timing just isn't right. Felix, too, wants to talk to Jeongin, but the hostility that existed between them during their last conversation, which took place in the presence of their friends, has made it difficult for him to begin communication.
Despite their differences, it is clear to those close to them that both Jeongin and Felix still have strong feelings for each other.
Communication is key to salvaging their relationship to set aside their differences and try to work through the issues together. They both need to take the time to understand each other's perspectives and to work towards a healthier and more positive relationship.
( Yangs Empire )
Jeongin was sitting in his office, waiting for his last meeting of the day, feeling both anxious and curious. He decided to send Len home since it was his last meeting and he would stay after to work on some files. Jeongin knew the meeting was with Lee Felix, his ex-boyfriend and the current CEO of Lee's Corp. They hadn't seen each other in a long time and Jeongin was both nervous and excited to see him again.
As he was lost in his thoughts, he heard a knock on his door and said, "Come in," taking his glasses off as Felix walked in. "Long time no see," Felix said, with a slight smile. "Get to the point," Jeongin said, trying to sound professional. The two couldn't hold eye contact let alone get a full sentence out.
"Well, I'm here because," Felix paused, "I'm here to discuss a partnership between our companies," Felix said. The silence was so loud for them. "Does your father approve?" Jeongin asked, trying to keep his emotions in check. "Don't be so damn petty," Felix said, clearly annoyed.
And this is what the two were afraid of. They couldn't have a normal conversation without someone saying something out of line. "Don't start and just sign the damn papers," Felix said, placing files on Jeongin's desk. "I'm not signing that," Jeongin said, his voice shaking slightly. "I refuse to put myself in that much pain working with you." Jeongin stated, getting up from his seat, "Felix, it's too much. The history between us just wouldn't work. Let it go." Jeongin said, trying to keep his composure.
"Why don't you let it go? We can try again. We're older now," Felix said, trying to sound persuasive. "No one but us controls our lives, and I don't care if my father likes you or not," Felix said, the two finally made eye contact, and that's when the tears started to flow for Jeongin.
The fight was bad and they threw things at each other. They went into the secrets they told each other. It wasn't a healthy breakup. "The fight between us was more than just stress, Felix," Jeongin said, trying to keep his voice steady. "It was everything in one and we threw it at each other. Our anger that wasn't even towards the other, we took it out on each other." Jeongin paused, "And it wasn't fair for us both, and I don't know if I can handle that type of pain again." Jeongin said. Jeongin sat on the large sofa and let the tears fall. He didn't try to stop them, "Listen, I know that pain, okay? I do, but it just wasn't the right time in our lives to date, but we can try again." Felix said, trying to sound reassuring.
"I know how it ended. I was there and I went through it, but I still love you, and that won't change," Felix lifted Jeongin's face, trying to look into his eyes. "But not waking up next to you hurts and not seeing those dimples that I love so much hurts. Every day I regret that breakup, but we can't go back." Felix paused, trying to find the right words.
"But we can go forward, and we can build an empire," Felix said, smiling. "Our empire," Jeongin said, trying to sound hopeful. "Yes, baby, our empire. It'll be just me and you. No one else. Just me and you, baby," Felix said, trying to sound romantic.
The two kissed, and if they hadn't said enough, the kiss did. It was clear that the tension was over and so was the past. They were ready to go to their next chapter of life together.
Their night didn't stop after that kiss, instead, they went to Felix's mansion, where they spent the night in his nice modern bed with the beautiful view and natural lighting coming in, shining on their faces.
