Cordell and I are the same age. 17 to be exact. We have always had the same teachers, but never acknowledged each other's existence until we were 9.

After I found my mom's body hanging from the ceiling in her room, I ran outside. I ran and ran and ran. I didn't know where I was going, but I had to get out of there. Soon, I found myself near the Circle, which is where most of the adults work. I sat on the cold lawn in the pavilion, breathing heavily.

"Hello? Are you okay?" I heard a meek voice say. "Are you sleeping?" I opened my eyes and saw beautiful, sea blue eyes. "What's your name?"

Not knowing what to say or do, I blurted out "My mom's dead!" The look on his was of confusion. "She's dead!"

"Uh," he responded. "Daaaddddyyyyy? Come here!" A man who had similar eyes and facial features rushes over to us and I completely confessed what I knew.

"My name is Mr. Ellis. This is my son Cordell. We are going to help you, okay?" the man said, very kind and clear. "What us your name?"

"N-N-Necole. I'm Necole Garner."

"Okay Necole, let's take you to the Main House."
