To Penny's rescue

" This is your mistress, Bolt. And you are her dog." I said quietly as he looked at me and then looked away, looking like he was trying to hear something. I heard what he heard, which was Penny's voice crying out in fear. " Penny." I said quietly as we started running back to the studio. We ran past Rhino as he started to follow him, and the smell of smoke was getting stronger. " What do we do?" I asked as we ran. " I have to get into that building!" Bolt replied as we dodged some people, but someone eventually tripped Bolt, causing them both to fall.

Bolt quickly got up and followed. Everyone was leaving when something slowly started blocking the door. " To attack!" Said Rhino and rolled under a heavy object as his ball began to crack as he raised his hands. " With death to me to the taw three!" He said as I ran up and unscrewed the lid. " You didn't get into character very much!" I said and grabbed him. I fell backwards as Bolt jumped over us and slid under the object before blocking the door anyway. " Bolt!" I shouted, putting Rhino on the ground.

After searching for a while, I finally found a small hole. I squeezed through it, but landed on a piece of sharp plate. I hissed slightly, but ignored the wound. My main task was to find Bolt and Penny. I ran until I finally saw her and Bolt covered in ash while Penny was lying down and coughing. " Bolt!" I said as his ears perked up. " S-Shade? What are you doing here? It's not safe here. You need to get out of here." He said and walked over to me. " I am here to help you. I can't lose you because I love you." I said, and he looked at me in disbelief. " Do you love me?" He asked and walked closer to me.

" Yes silly, but now you have to be taken out of here." I said as he looked at me. "But you are injured." He said and looked at my wound. " It's nothing, just a light scratch. Now I'll get you and Penny out of here." I said and he nodded. " Bolt, zoom, zoom." - Penny said, grabbing the rope in the middle. " Just do what I do." - said Bolt and grabbed the end of the rope with his teeth. I nodded and did the same as he started running. I ran with him as we helped Penny, and went to a clean place because she kept coughing. I saw a vent and led them toward it.

I climbed into the vent and then crawled upstairs. I barked as loudly as I could. I growled again when it echoed. I growled a few more times before giving up. I went back to Penny and Bolt. I laid my head on Bolt's back and gently licked Penny's hand, which was stroking my head. " Such a brave boy." She said quietly when I felt a paw on mine. " My brave boy." Bolt said quietly, and I smiled slightly. They both slowly lost consciousness from the smoke, and I closed my eyes, thinking it was over, until I heard people opening a vent. "Here they are! We got them!" Someone said as I weakly sat up, causing Penny's hand to fall on Bolt's head.

I barked quietly as a firefighter gently picked Penny up and put her on a stretcher. Another went to fetch Bolt as I nudged him. " Such a good boy. Come on." Said the fireman, lifting Bolt. I followed them weakly, but another firefighter helped me out and lifted me up. I saw Rhino trying to catch up with him when I barked quietly. The firefighter turned around and looked at him. " Is this your sweet little friend?" He asked, and I barked quietly again, wagging my tail. He gently picked up Rhino and took us to the ambulance. I crawled in and laid on Penny's mother's lap.

Bolt lay on top of Penny, who smiled weakly and gently stroked him. " I'm so sorry, honey." Said her mother, stroking me gently, and I looked at them sadly. " Nothing moves a person more than motherly love." Said a man in a suit and gray hair, entering the ambulance. I growled softly, I did not like him. " I will try very hard. The little one will end up on posters, T-shirts, and how people will throw themselves at her! It will be great!" Said the man, shaking Penny's stretcher.

I growled even more when Penny's mother felt the same as I did and threw him out. " You are fired!" She said as I stood next to her. " No, no, wait such a decision must be well thought out. Let's put a pin in it!" He said as Penny's mother closed the door. " You are a good dog." She said quietly as I jumped up and lay on her lap and she gently stroked me. I nudged her hand with my nose as Rhino lay next to me.

TIME SKIP

The heart monitor was on. " I'm afraid your injuries were more serious than we previously thought, my dear." Said the doctor, unwinding the bandages on his head. " We had to completely reconstruct your face. Take a look." He said as the nurse handed the doctor a mirror, which the doctor handed to the little girl. " Well, at least Dr. Calico won't be able to recognize me." Said the little girl, looking at her new face. She moved the mirror while Calico held the needle.

" Calico!" She shouted, and just as he was about to give her an injection, a green laser fired at the needle, causing it to break. Bolt fell through the window and pinned Calico down. " Bolt!" - said the girl, gleefully sitting up. He used Super Bark as he made a hole in the wall, from which they both jumped. They were caught by a beam and lifted up as Calico came up and looked up to see spaceships. " Aliens!" He said, taking off his medical mask. Suddenly the TV turned off, and I shook my head with a smile.

" No one will believe it anymore." Said Rhino as Bolt approached him. " Totally farmer's stuff." He said laying down next to him on the couch. " I agree with the speaker before me." I said with a smile and lay down opposite him, while Penny's mother started stroking me behind the ear. I was wearing a brand new collar, similar to Bolt's, when I approached, and he gently licked my nose. A toy carrot was thrown between us, and Bolt moved behind it and played with it. " Howdy Bolt." Penny said, giggling, walking over to her and sitting down in front of the couch. " Hey, my little fire dog." She said, nudging my head when I did the same. She turned her back to the couch, then picked up her camera and took a picture. I smiled, nuzzling her cheek while Bolt held a carrot in his mouth. Rhino next to me. " It came out nice. Do you want to play outside? What? Do you want to play outside?" She asked, while Bolt and I merrily wagged our tails. " Let's go!" She said and grabbed a carrot with a smile, while Bolt and I followed her outside. Bolt was right about her. She is different and she is great. I couldn't think of a better family.
