cranes

Midst infrastructural development

Etymological development coincides

Evolved from wings of natural flight and hope

Cranes stand as symbols of man-made prosperity

Constructing structure and facility

Designed not for man, not for love, not for life

Designed for unequal advantage and gain

Designed to build upon the skulls of our commons

They build, unrelenting

Till each green land made grey

They build, unregarding

Have we lost our intentions?

Yet midst this infrastructural development

A biological development accompanies

This greed for unnecessary growth and change

For the cranes have changed their meaning
