San It had been three days since San had asked for Wooyoungs number, telling him that it was just in case of a band emergency. It wasn't exactly a lie since all the band members had each others numbers but he knew deep down it was for his own personal reasons which, he had not yet figured out himself.
He smiled at the thought of the boy but quickly shook the thought away as the door opened revealing a short nurse with black hair tied into a low ponytail.
"Are you Mr. Choi?"
~~~~~~
He had just been released from the hospital and was busy packing his belongings when he heard the slide door open again and his mother walked in.
"So, this is where you've been." He turned and looked at her. She was almost the exact replica of him but with softer features and long hair that had been dyed blonde. She wore a tight fit black dress that flowed to her knees with heels to match. She was quite tall and at first glance she looked young and put together but San knew all too well how much of a crazy bitch she could be.
She sighed dramatically when he didn't answer and walked over to where he was standing folding clothes and snatched the shirt he was holding. Taking a disinterested look at it before discarding it across the room.
"What the fuck?!" San said, irritation clear in his tone. This only made his mother roll her eyes as she watched her son walk over to pick the shirt up.
"I can see you got in a lot of trouble, did you at least win?" She asked as she dug under her nails not actually caring if he did or not.
"Well you see me in the hospital don't you?" He said sarcastically as he started stuffing clothes in his duffle bag, not even bothering to fold them anymore. His mom has always been childish and all he wanted to do right now was get away from her. He didn't even know why she had come so he decided to ask.
"Why are you even here?" He said, suddenly turning on her. He was trying his best not to raise his voice just in case she lost her temper, which seemed to be most of the time.
"I'm your mom, it would be inhumane of me not to be here when my precious son is hurt." She replied slowly walking towards him with fake sympathy on her face, holding her hands out to touch him.
He responded almost instinctively, harshly slapping her slender hands away. He had always hated his mothers hands because they were cold and lacked any actual affection.
All she did was look at him, her face slowly transforming her soft features into an ugly scowl. She then grabbed his face, her long pointy nails digging into his skin as she yanked him towards her. Her hot breath hitting his face almost making him gag at the smell of cigarettes and milk.
"If you ever slap my hands away again, it'll be the last thing you do." She spat, sending shivers down his spine as she stared him down, her dark eyes narrowing. Then she let go and sighed.
"It's your brothers birthday today so make sure you show up." She said not even looking at him. He turned to continue picking up his clothes, she knew he wasn't going to go regardless because that wasn't his real brother, it was his step-brother and he wanted nothing to do with her new family. She then took her leave and he let out a breath of relief that he didn't even know he was holding.
He quickly pulled his phone out and called Hongjoong.
"Hey do you mind if I crash at ur place? The witch is back at it again." He explained saltily.
Hongjoong was sans safe space, if he ever needed a place to stay, clothes on his back or food hongjoong would always be there for him. He and hongjoong had been best friends since after the hyunjin incident and he was one of the only people who had accepted him for him before he met the rest of the members. He was also the only person who would let San crash at his place when things got bad at his.
"Yeah sure I don't mind, but seonghwa is here.."
"That's fine I'll be there in 30." He replied before hanging up the phone and gathering his belongings. This was definitely going to be one hell of a night.
~~~~~~~~
San waited patiently outside hongjoongs red apartment door, tapping his foot repeatedly as he waited for the boy to let him in.
After what felt like 40 minutes the door finally flew open, revealing the blonde haired boy. His hair was ruffled and he was shirtless, revealing his lightly toned body and a tattoo of a black rose peaking past the hem of his pants that were hanging low on his waist.
"Damn, took you long enough shithead." Hongjoong greeted, running his hand through his dampened hair.
San rolled his eyes. " I know you're not talking." He replied pushing past Hongjoong and taking his shoes off. The inside of the house was small yet homey. The walls were painted an off white with various different paintings dotted here and there. The walk from the front door to the living room was fairly short and revealed a nice, cozy, brown couch and flat screen TV. It also revealed a pretty, pink haired boy. San was confused at first until the boy turned all the way around and he saw the familiar face of Seonghwa, who also looked like he had just got out the shower.
"Hey San!" He said grinning prettily.
San couldn't help but grin back. Seonghwa always had a way of making people feel comfortable. That's probably why Hongjoong liked him so much.
"Hey Seonghwa." He motioned towards him and sat right beside him. Hongjoong soon enough joined and freshly rolled blunt between his fingers.
"Wanna smoke?" He asked holding it out towards San.
"When do I not." He said lightly grabbing it from him along with a lighter.
He lit it up and took a long slow drag, feeling the thick smoke build in his lungs as he held in it place before slowly blowing it out. After a couple of seconds of coughing he passed it to hongjoong who did the same.
"God I needed that." He said, feeling his eyes grow heavy. They turned on the tv and sat in quiet until hongjoong spoke up.
"So...what happened with your mom?"
San sighed not really wanting to ruin his high by talking about her. "Just acting how she always does. She wants me to go to my stepbrothers birthday party but she's knows I'm not going to go." Hongjoong nodded his head and took another puff of his blunt.
Both hongjoong and seonghwa knew how much he hated his stepbrother because he knew he could never accomplish the things that he did. His stepbrother was better then in him in a lot of ways, like his grades for instance. San always struggled with his grades and once his mother remarried it was always shoved in his face that he was never good enough.
He shook his head, not wanting to think about his family issues anymore and stood up.
"I think I'm going to go lay down for a while.." he said not giving them time to respond as he made his way to hongjoongs guest room.
He kicked off his slides and laid down, his mind wondering for a moment before he felt the effects of his high wearing off and drifted into a deep sleep.
