___________________________________Aurora sighed, walking out of the Hufflepuff common room, quickly smiling when she saw Eric waiting for her.
Since they became friends, Eric would always wait for her, she tried to do the same, waiting for him outside the Slytherin room room, but it didn't end well.
Boys came up to her, teasing her nonstop that day another boy stopped them right when Eric stepped out . He got mad and told her not to wait for him, but he will always find her and wait for her.
"what?" Aurora said seeing Eric staring at her.
"you look different different." she told her it wasn't her hair. He knew what she looked like with her hair curled, straighten natural and up. it was her face. It looked different.
"I'm wearing makeup. I have mascara on and it makes my lashes longer, look" The girl closed her eyes showing Eric her lashes.
" Yeah, they are" he smiled at her before opening, though great hall doors, making their way to the Hufflepuffs table.
Just as they sat down, there was a loud bang coming from the Slytherin side causing both Eric and Aurora To look at the source of the sound food was all over the Slytherins face.
"Why is it always them?" Luckily we sat at my table if not we both would be over there with food all over our faces." Aurora told Eric.
" it's probably those group of boys again"Eric said.
" oh the four boys, what house are they in?" She wondered. Eric merely shrugged, of course Eric knew but he wasn't going to tell Aurora that, "don't know, but c'mon let's eat." Eric said.
The teachers all looked at each other sighing. it will be impossible for the four Gryffindor's to behave. McGonagall stood up, making her way to the four boys.
"Eric, did you ask for Care of Magical Creatures?" Aurora asked him.
"Shoots, angel i forgot" Eric said, realizing he never asked to be in the class.
" it's all right maybe if there's a free spot you can get in, but that's if you want." Aurora smiled at him, "are you going to play quidditch this year?" She asked hesitantly.
Eric used to play Quidditch but was kicked out in his fourth year due to fighting a lot. He was asked to come back or to fill in a spot but he said no. Eric did love playing it but after awhile the boy lost his love for it.
"No." He shook his head, "I lost interest the moment I was kicked out." The boy told her, Aurora nodded her head. "Let's go watch the squid" Eric said pulling her out of the great hall. This was something they always done on Saturdays. They stayed there till lunch watching the squid catching up on everything they missed.
They both sat down on the grass gazing upon the lake, silence over took them till Eric decided to ask the question this time. "How was your summer Angel?"
" oh you know the usual. Babysit mostl, celebrated my sister's birthday." She told him watching as the squid splashed around.
"And your mother and other siblings?" Eric asked her, hesitantly.
Aurora was silent for a moment, " the usual, Mother never home, my sister silent not talking to me and ignoring me, while...you know how he is." she sighed.
Eric looked at her, "how was your summer?" She asked turning to look at him.
Eric sighed, "well york( Eric's house-elf) accidentally dumped paint all over himself" Eric said smiling.
"What? How?!" Aurora asked startled. But Eric stayed silent with a small smirk of mischievous. The girl laughed slapping the boys arm. "Eric you didn't!" She yelled causing the boy to laugh.
York was a pranking elf, well only with Eric. The elf saw how sad Eric grew up so York would always joke around with the boy, which lead to pranks. They quickly cleaned after so Eric's parents wouldn't know.
"Hey! He dyed my hair green!" Eric said defending himself causing them to both burst out into laughter.
"Ahhh did you dye it back yourself," aurora asked smirking.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" He asked.
"You missed a spot, I see green hair-"Aurora smirked when Eric quickly started panicking, "where?!" The boy yelled.
"Just kidding" Aurora laughed.
"Angel." Eric's voice went serious, causing the girl to look at him. "Yes?"
Eric sighed, "my parents have the dark mark." He whispered. The girls eyes widened, growing concern for the boy. "When I turn seventeen they want me to get it." Eric closed his eyes before laying down on the grass. Aurora coukd hear the sadness in his voice.
"But when I'm seventeen, I'm moving out. They don't know and York has been helping me save money to move out" he told her, smiling at the idea of being away from his obsessed Voldemort loving parents.
If they ever found out of Aurora, he knew what they would do, he also knew they would force the boy to watch. This is why both never owled each other, he couldn't risk it, not when it came to Aurora.
The girl looked at the boy laying down, smiling at him,"your own place huh," she said. Eric turned to look at the girl, "you can move in with me" Eric suggested. Sighing the girl later beside the boy, "I wish. I don't turn seventeen till May. Plus my mother would never dare let me leave." She said sadly.
"Coming to Hogwarts is enough for her" she smiled sadly at Eric, "you know the fit she threw when Lina took me away that day." She said causing the boy to nod.
"What's the point! She's never home, she's always-"
"I know." Aurora cut him off, knowing what the boy would say.
They simply layer there next to one another, closing their eyes and just enjoying the peace where they were. No parents, nothing, just them.
Just Eric and Aurora.
