Avengers' mansion – New York
"Come on, we already watched it like a bazillion times". Jennifer Walters, aka She-hulk, says.
On the day before, an incident involving Titania, one of Jen's rogues, happened, the damage was stopped thanks to the Amazing Spider-man, and the former sidekick, now hero, Ultimate Spider-man, a title given to them by the hero community to avoid confusion between the two.
"It is not me". Jen says as the video plays once more.
The video shows an identical version of She-Hulk, except for the fact her skin is red, fighting Titania and leaving the area after the fight is over.
"I know, you said that a 'bazillion' times already, but Jen, are you sure it is not you?" Luke Cage asks.
"We know it is stressful". Carol says, putting a hand over her friend's shoulder to calm her. "But you got to remember, your cousin Bruce became a grey Hulk once, and we know there is a Red Hulk, so it isn't so farfetched that you could be this... Red She-Hulk".
"Are we really gonna call it or she... that?". Jessica Drew says with one eye widened and another squeezed, believing the name to be too blank, then again, she picked Spider-woman when there was already a Spider-Man swinging around New York.
"Let's stay on topic". Luke says. "Okay, so it isn't you Jen. Do you have any idea who it could be?".
"No". Jen says. "And why does it matter? The war is over, the registration act is no more, and whoever she is it doesn't matter since it's just another hero doing their duty".
All heroes cringe remembering the war since half fought for the Registration Act and half against it, bridges were burned, friendships ruined and they are still trying to regain each other's trust to this day, another proof that politics and hero work should stay away from each other.
"It's not Jen". Hercules, the new member of the Avengers and Thor's replacement, says, making all heads turn at him.
"How can you be sure?" Carol asks.
"While they appear identical, a trained eye like mine can tell that this Red She-Hulk is slightly bigger in the rear area but smaller in the breast size". Hercules says as if his words didn't have much meaning. "I know it because I shared my bed with Jen once, so I can tell the difference".
"Ditto". Hawkeye says adjusting his collar due to the glare the green bombshell gave him.
"SHUT UP". Jen blushes and yells at the archer. "You never slept with me.".
"No, but my eyes are trained so I can tell the difference, tell them, Tony". Clint says, hitting Tony on the arm with his elbow.
All eyes turned to the billionaire, but he just turned his head to the side and started whistling, despite agreeing with Hercules and Hawkeye's statement he was now going to get married, so he wanted to forget his past partners and didn't want to be involved in this argument.
"This is getting us nowhere". Carol says, wanting to help her friend. "Jen says it's not her, so let's call Bruce and the guys on Gamma Base, they might know who she is".
"We already did". Tony says. "Reed and I asked Banner, and he told us he doesn't know, but it felt... off".
"Do you think he was lying?" Spider-woman asks.
"No". Tony replies. "More like he knew but was forced or didn't want to say. Given who is in command I can guess why".
They all stay quiet over the statement, Bruce had serious cases of D.I.D. in the past, so it wouldn't be strange if one of his other personalities made him keep quiet about what he knew about this Red She-Hulk.
