flash back~ about age 10

"kanna!" shouts miyu, kanna's older sister. miyu rounds the corner and almost bashes herself into kanna as she was herself running to her sister after her panicked scream.

"what's wrong?" kanna couldn't help but be worried for miyu as miyu had tears streaming down her face, her eyes puffy from heavily crying.

miyu just looks kanna up in her eyes, her eyes sunken with sadness and agony. "i...i don't have any.." she didn't have to say anything else as kanna took her older sister into her arms lovingly. understanding when one's powers wont come through is horrible. being a noble and needing that expectancy is even worse. kanna already shown having magic within her veins and has been practicing for a couple years. not wanting her sister's end to result so soon, she thinks quickly.

"i think i know something" kanna states, as she grabs miyu's arms softly, bringing her into her own room which was only a couple feet away. they enter kanna's room, the walls a healthy cobblestone gray, her overly large bed centered in the middle along the wall as sheer drapery hung along the framing. small sparkles from the drapery catching miyu's eye occasionally as kanna had her step into her room more. kanna disappears around into her largely wide walk in closet to her vanity. she pulls out a smooth amethyst wrapped in wire, neatly hung on a silver chain. an amulet of sorts, she shows it to miyu. miyu knowing what kanna was going to do immediately stops her.

"kanna no, that's not going to be safe" miyu states softly. "i'll accept my punishment before i have you do anything like that." she concludes.

"miyu, you and i both know that i cannot live without you. so please, just this once." kanna pleads with wide eyes, tears forming in her eyes.

miyu's shoulder deflate but fully accept what kanna is about to do. ushering miyu into the closet with her, kanna kneels down, along with miyu. kanna draws out a white rune circle onto the cold concrete ground, setting the amulet into the middle.

kanna reaches across and grasps onto both of miyu's arms. kanna looks miyu in her eyes as she smiles softly.

"are you ready?" kanna asks softly. she reaches into a drawer nearby and grabs out a sharp edged pocket knife. kanna glances up at miyu, expectantly she waits for miyu to answer.

miyu's eyes start to water thinking about everything that kanna is about to do. her reply silent as she stiffly nods her head at kanna. kanna reaches across muttering a small spell of sorts as she nicks her sister's palm with the sharp pocket knife, soon doing the same thing to herself. after chanting an enchantment with her sister, the rune circle, now glowing. both sisters chant a little louder than before as the outside of the circle grows brighter, soon they both drop their blood on top of the amulet. the amulet sucks up their blood in offering and it grows bright as the sister's both close their eyes. their chanting not ceasing until kanna feels half her magic seeping out of her aura and into the amulet.

the amulet glows the same color as kanna's aura as it intakes the magic from her. the room growing brighter as they both soon stop chanting as kanna seals the amulet with a wish or a time in ending when the magic will be returned back to kanna. soon both the girls are left in almost darkness, the glowing from the rune circle dissipating along with the rune circle itself, sealing itself along the outside of the amulet.
