Knowing only one being who can grant my request, I went in search of my father, Hades. Taking a deep breath, I summoned my courage and ventured deeper into the shadows, reaching my Dad's throne room. The air was heavy and the God sat upon his throne tossing an unnaturally large pomegranate back and forth between his hands.

"Nico? What brings you to my domain?" Hades rose a skeptical eyebrow.

"Dad, I've seen the suffering of Achilles and his lover, their love deserves a second chance and I wish to unite them in the Elysian fields.

Hades regarded me for a moment.

"This request seems rather personal. Is there more to it Nico?"

I hesitated, debating weather or not I should tell my 3,000 year old dad my dilemma.

"Yeah," I admitted softly.

His eyes pierced mine and for a split second I thought he was angry.

"Are you here as a result of the quarrel with Will?" He asked me accusingly.

"That is not the point," I said hoping we could get off the subject of my love life.

"Nico, you ask for a grave and unprecedented favor. Why should I grant such a request?"

I hesitate, making sure to choose my words carefully, "Father, their love was torn apart by chaos of war. They deserve a chance at happiness."

His expression hardens, "This is a cautious request, the consequences could be dire, convince me further,"

Feeling the urgency of the moment I willed the shadows to show my dad scenes o their lives, good and bad.

Hades waited in silence for me to finish my little presentation I had going on.

"Nico I am not so sure," He started before I cut him off.

"Please dad, Elysium is supposed to make you happy, right?"

"Well yes..."

"And Patroclus makes Achilles happy and out of anyone in there he deserves it most," I finished and waited for a solid minute before my father spoke again.

"Very well, I will grant your wish, but promise me one thing,"

"Anything,"

"Don't let what happened to them happen to you and Will,"

"I promise," I said.

Hades bobbed his head behind me and I whirled around to see Patroclus waiting eagerly for me.

"Ready to see Achilles?" I asked walking up to him, he nodded, too excited to speak.

"Do not make the young man wait any longer, take him to Elysium, Achilles s waiting.

Before we left the palace Patroclus made a quick bow.

"Thank you," he whispered and I watched an honest grin creep across the god of the underworlds face.
