The sound of a crackling fire, along with the warmth that filled the room. You see someone had walked in while softly humming an unfamiliar tune you didn't recognise. She walked up beside the bed and gently placed down a tray of tea onto the bedside table. Then looked directly at you to see that you had finally awakened.

She seemed slightly startled at first, but then her face washed over in relief. "Oh, my dear. I'm so glad to see that you're finally awake. I was beginning to worry that you might not wake up." The woman said. As she grabbed a damp cloth from a bowl of water. "May I?" she offered. You nodded slightly, for that was all you really do. Then she gently dabbed it across your forehead. "Sorry if this stings." she said softly.

It didn't seem to bother you too much, but you felt very exhausted and couldn't move much. You felt a little afraid, unsure if you were really safe.

"Don't be afraid." The woman said then continued. "You're in safe hands I promise you that. My friends had found you passed out in the forest while a storm was brewing overhead, just outside of Arandale, which wasn't me this time, it's just winter here right now." She chuckled to herself. You looked at her confused.

She notices and quickly clears her throat. "Mhm, long story. Luckily they managed to get you here just in time before the storm got any worse." She explained.

You stare at the woman blankly as you try to remember those events but when you do everything seems blurry, but you did remember on thing. "The wolves..." You muttered.

"I'm sorry I didn't quite catch that." She said.

"Nothing..." You quickly reply.

"Alright. How are you feeling?" she asked.

"Confused and thirsty." You replied weakly.

The woman nodded. "That's understandable and of course, I have some water here. Let's just sit you up, is that ok?" She asked.

"Yes." You reply.

She then helped you up in a more sitting position from the bed that you were currently on. And then she held a cup of water towards your lips as you took a few sips from it.

"Thank you. Um, I'm sorry but who are you exactly?" You asked not knowing who this woman was.

"Oh I'm so sorry how rude of me. Where are my manners?" She blushed a little embarrassed.  "I am Queen Elsa and you are currently in my castle, in the kingdom of Arandale.". Elsa replied with a soft smile.

Your eyes slightly go wide. The Queen? Was she.. nursing you back to health? But why her of all people? It wasn't a bad thing, but she is a queen!? You question within your mind. "Your majesty!?" You exclaimed in surprise.

"Oh no. Please. No need to be formal, Elsa will do just fine." Elsa quickly reassured you.

"Ok..." You shyly say, feeling a little embarrassed. "My name is [Y/N]" you added.

"That's a beautiful name. It's nice to meet you. Obviously it's not the best circumstances but we are here now." Elsa said.

You try to smile but then a sudden sharp pain goes throughout your body. Not realizing how many injuries you had all over your body. "Ugh! everything hurts..." You say.

Elsa quickly grabbed the tea that she brought in earlier and poured it into a cup. "Oh. The medicine must have been warned off. Hang on, his tea should soothe the pain." She said as she placed it up to your lips.

"Don't worry it's not too hot, I cold it down to the perfect temperature, I just hope it's to your liking." Elsa said with a smile.

You nodded slowly as you took a sip. It was like nothing you ever tasted before and it was the perfect temperature for you. Then without realizing it your body started to feel a lot more relaxed and no longer in pain.

"Thank you." You replied.

"You're very welcome. Now get some rest." Elsa said.

"Wait, could you stay with me a bit longer?". You asked unexpectedly, unsure if you wanted to be alone.

Elsa gave a small smile.
"Of course. I'll stay until you drift back to sleep.". She said while sitting back into the chair next to your bed.

"I'm gonna stay for a little longer then may I ask? What were you doing out in the middle of the forest?" Elsa asked with a concerned look.

At that moment you didn't know what to say, your memory started to come back. But you were afraid to tell the truth, but this was a queen, she was trustworthy right? "Everything seems blurry right now. But I think I was running away...". You reply sadly.

"Running away? From where? Was someone chasing you?". Esla questioned.

You slowly nod your head as blurry memories flowed into your head. "Yes, my family arranged me into a forced marriage and my fiance.. Chased me down with his wolves.... because... " Suddenly you had the urge to cry, tears streamed down your face.

"Hey it's ok. I'm sorry. You don't have to tell me everything or at all." Elsa said. You're safe now. My family and I will protect you. You're welcome in my castle, until you're fully recovered, I promise you that.". Elsa said while gently wiping your tears away with a handkerchief.

"No... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be a burden..." You blurt out.

"You're not a burden, it seems you've been through a lot. Listen to me, you're going to be ok, you're with a powerful queen and she, I, will protect you." Elsa pulled you into a hug and rubbed your back to calm you down.

After you sobbed a little, you had finally allowed Elsa's words to sink in and you become calmer in her presence.

"Sorry, that was embarrassing. But thank you Elsa." You say softly.

"It's ok to cry.  And you're welcome. May I sing you a song to help you rest easier?". Elsa asked.

"I would like that.". You say.

She helps you lay back down. And starts humming again. Softly singing away to you. You start to feel exhausted, yet safe in the queen's presents. You would have never thought to end up in the kingdom of Arandale. You heard of the place but never been, because you were so isolated from the world.

A few moments later you had finally drifted off to sleep. Elsa then smiled and said. "Good night [y/n] I hope you sleep well." She said as she tiptoed out the door and went back to her room to get some rest herself.
