I remember the day I moved out from my parents' house to my new apartment in New York.
The sun was shining so brightly as I bid goodbye, my feelings mixed up. It was sad to say goodbye to my parents yet I was happy to finally have an apartment on my own.

I've never thought that the day when we go to that sale, will be the day when we change our lives forever.

Excitement bubbles up in me when I realize today is the day I move to my new apartment with my best friend, Ashley, who's now living in my apartment in New York.

I'm a fresh graduate student who majors in accounting. Numbers are my life since I have learnt maths in 1st grade. People often tells me that I'm weird because of my love for maths, algebra, calculus, ETC. But at least I made it through!

Starting from today, I, Odette Lawrence, will be working for one of the big company as the accountant. That's my dream anyways.

Nonetheless, I still suffer from my waking up early syndrome.

Forcing myself to get out from my bed, I quickly brush my teeth and take a shower. No matter what, I'll always have my morning shower. I'll feel grossed out if I don't.

After showering, I quickly wear my usual outfit that I've chosen the day before. It's a white loose shirt that i paired with black leggings and I'll be wearing my trusty sneakers that I put downstairs. Let me clarify one thing, I DESPISE the thought of having shoes inside of my house let alone my room. It's just not right for me, my mom and dad included, they also don't like it if you wear shoes all along the house.

My feet padded the floor as I descended down the stairs, seeing both my mom and dad are talking with my 2 big suitcases behind them.

"Odie, you can't leave us here!" My mom screamed at me before suddenly attacking me with a giant hug and sobs on my shoulder.

I roll my eyes as I pat my mom on her back. She's being dramatic, as usual. But I love her for it, she's funny that way. Not a minute later, she recovers from her sobbing and take a step back while wiping her runny nose with my dad's clothes. I snicker and grimaces in disguise.

"I swear, Rebecca, if I don't love you, I would've choke you right now," my father said seemingly amused and disgusted at the same time.

I smiled at them. My mom can be a little childish at times but she can be seriously scary when it comes to important things.

I inherit my pair of blue clear eyes from her, however the genes of her beautiful thick black hair doesn't pass through to me, instead I got my brunette hair from somewhere. Not that I'm complaining though.

Standing on six foot tall, my father has the world's rarest green coloured eyes and pair it up with brunette hair, you can clearly see that he's a model. Which is true. My dad used to model for Calvin Klein jeans (which is ironic considering his name is Calvin), but then he found his passion for business. He opens his own entertainment company and name it 'C entertainment'.

Suddenly, a loud hand snap can be heard causing me to flinch and glare at my dad. He grins his toothy grin and flick me in the forehead.

"Dad!" I shouted clearly annoyed at his attempt. My mom snorted and my glare shifted back to her.

"What? It's the only way to bring you back to our conversation," He said while shrugging his shoulder.

I smiled sheepishly at my dad. I had this habit of staring out into spaces when i'm thinking about something.

"Sorry dad, anyways, I'll go now yeah?" With that said, my mom starts to wail once again.

"You just have to say that don't you?" He groaned making me smirk in satisfaction.
