CC's POV

As soon as I see the badly bruised and slightly bloody skin of the brunette I feel how my insides fill with worry and anger.

I can't believe her Dad would do that her. I mean what the hell is wrong with that man?!? And even though I know who did it, I still ask.

"Who did this to you?"
My voice angry but also painted by worry and horror.

"Uhm... You know..."
Her voice is small as she avoids my eyes.

"Your Dad?"

"Mhm."
She hums in confirmation — now fiddling with her hands.

"I'm so sorry. I- Are you alright?"
Not knowing how to handle this situation, while also feeling incredibly guilty for talking her into staying at my place.

"It's fine don't worry. And yes I'm okay, it's just some pain."
The brunette shrugs and sends me a weak smile.

"I'm so sorry, if I hadn't talked you into staying, this would've never happened to you. I am so sor-"

"Please stop. It's not your fault."
She interrupts me — sending me a pleading look.

"I'm still so-"

"CC please!"
Now crying out in frustration as she pinches the bridge of her nose.

I finally just keep quiet. I still feel halla guilty, but I don't want to irritate her. She's got her face in her hands as she takes deep breaths.

"Wanna watch a movie?"
Asking that because I don't know what else to do.

"Please."
Removing her hands from her beautiful face and smiling at me sweetly.

"Okay. What would you like to watch?"
I ask after she hands me the remote for the tv — that looks like it's been put in here very recently.

"I don't care, anything is fine."
The brunette shrugs — me now sitting next to her.

"How about... Oh yes, Bug Mouth?"
Assuming that some comedy could distract her from the situation.

"Big Mouth seriously?"
Bursting out in laughter as she's asking.

"What? It's funny."

"Okay princess, let's watch that then."
Saraya says jokingly — probably oblivious to the fact that she's just made me blush like crazy.

Quickly I press start on the first episode. This show is so stupid that it's funny again. I guess it's also kinda educational in some way, but I mainly watch it because it's just funny.

Every now and then I hear the younger girl chuckle or something, which makes me smile — relieved to know that she's distracted.

After maybe three episodes, I suddenly feel a weight on my shoulder. When I look at my left shoulder, I find a mass of curly brown hair.

Carefully I wrap my left arm around her shoulder — very much careful to not put it on anything bruised. So basically my arm is around her neck.

The girl shifts in her sleep and before I know it, her head in on my chest — right underneath my chin. Her hand is clutching my sweater tightly, which makes me pout at how adorable she looks right now.
