Post disaster

Part 1 (I apologize in advance for any mistakes 😭)

(POST TYLER DEATH🌳🌲🌴)
No one knew what to do Taylor wouldn't move, no one would talk
everyone stayed at the busses hoping Tyler was okay in either dimension.

Ash POV: I couldn't help but feel like it was my fault. And I definitely couldn't stop wondering if Taylor thought that too.What if I did turn back would we all die or would Tyler be okay?

The group project (wink wink)- minus Tay and Ty

Ashlyn: I feel like Taylor definitely hates me 😭😭
Logan: dw I still talk to her sometimes and I don't rlly think so
Ben: Same but she's not as bubbly or happy  as before.
Aiden: Oh great so me and Ashlynn are the only ones she doesn't want to speak to! 😀
Ashlynn: I mean she should be talking on her own terms but what'd u do to make her not want to talk to you?
Aiden: I may or may not have tried to get her to talk and forgive you for the situation.....
Ben:  enough fr with the boundary pushing dude
Logan: I mean u can get why she doesn't want to
Ashlynn: seriously
Aiden:don't be mad boo boo bear D:
Aslynn:uhh
Logan:SORRY???
Ben: ...

(AT SCHOOL)
"Ah there's Taylor" Aiden whispered to the group.
"Im surprised she came considering she hasn't been here in 2 weeks" Logan replied.
"17 days" Ben corrected holding up his phone.
"Oh you've been counting" Aiden smirked.
Ben covered side of his face as he felt it turn an embarrassing shade of red
"It's okay we all miss her" Logan smiled
Aiden chucked "some a little more than others"
"You good ash you've been pretty quiet"Aiden asked
"Huh? oh ya just thinking about stuff I guess" She gave a short reply clearly zoned out.
The others gave each other looks then walked into class
About 25 minutes later
"ahem the mathematical Pythagorean theorem shows that if c equals-"
he gets cut off by the loud opening of the classroom door *everyone's turns to see it's Taylor being late not like but at least she's here
"Sorry I'm late" Taylor mumbled back pack slumped on one shoulder posture hunched and wearing one of Tyler's old hoodies with a random pair of jean shorts
"That's fine but I'll have to mark you tardy,take ur seat we only have 20 minutes of class."
A few girls in the front of the class start gossiping about it as soon as she sits down
"Wow she looks great today"  girl one says sarcastically followed by a few giggles from the other two girls
"Okay but seriously what's her prob" girl two asks
"I think her twin brothers in a coma or something" girl three replies
"Oh the one on the baseball team" girl one asks
"Ohhhh ya hes super cute" Girl two replies
"Totally too bad he's probably dead" girl three says then they all giggle
Taylor overhears and puts her head down thinking of the fact that there was a chance Tyler would not make it out alive.
Ben notices and deaths stares the three girls
They all go silent like clock work.

Ashlynn: wait is it just me or did we see Taylor right before the bell rang
Aiden: Ya so it doesn't make sense that she came in late
Ben:maybe she changed her mind about coming in or something came up.
Logan: probably but why would she come in now?
Aiden:fr
Ben: I know her schedule and she has mechanics next so maybe she doesn't want to let her club down.
Ashlynn: does she have a free period maybe I can use that time to talk to her about the stuff that's happening.
Ben: 4th period 
Ash: Ahh tysm
Aiden: that works out great bc Ashlyn has Geography 4th period and the teachers absent!
Logan: why do u know 🤨
Aiden: HEY NO ONE QUESTIONED WHEN BEN KNEW TAYLOR'S SCHEDULE
Ashlynn: Taylor sent hers into the gc when all of this started so we could know when we all have time to work on the group project this start with.
Aiden: oh ya
Ben: So Aiden....
    (THE BELL RINGS)
Aiden looks over at the others as he mouths saved by the bell.
Ben and Logan chuckle as Ashlynn rolls her eyes
Taylor rushes out what seems like immediately.
"Ugh I couldn't catch up to her in time" Ashlynn groans
Aiden shrugged "just text her"
Ben nods agreeing

Taylor does her usual slump into her next class until she gets a ding from her phone

Hey you have 4th
period free right?

                                                      Ya why
Can we use that time
to like talk

                                                          Sure ig

"It's called my free period for a reason" Taylor thought to herself
For Ashlynn it feels like 2nd and 3rd class are going by way too fast but soon it's the locker time before fourth period and Ashlynn texts Taylor to make she's coming.
In what feels like a millisecond Taylor is standing right in front of her.
"Hey Ash so what'd you want to talk about?" Taylor asks trying to make it seems like she's fine
"Oh well I just wanted to apologize and talk about some other stuff after you know the uhm accident" Ashlyn replies shakily
"Cool so..." Taylor says waiting for her to start
Ashlyn  "Oh right, listen I didn't mean for things to go down the way they did I'm really sorry I hope you can understand I was just so focused on keeping the rest of us alive before going back to get Tyler"
"Don't worry you don't need to apologize you did what you had to to keep the rest of us safe it's not your fault" Taylor said with a smile
"Thanks Tay I've also been really worried about y-" Taylor immediately zones out only ,Tyler had ever called her Tay and only Tyler was ever worried about her she breaks down crying in the middle of the building
Ash looked frantic "not a great time to be bad with people what do I do what I do???" She thought
"Was it something I said uhm what's wrong" she said worried
"No I just miss when Tyler would always call me that"she sniffled and got up off the cold hallways floor "I'm sorry what were you saying!" she asked wiping her tears
"I was saying I'm really worried about how your doing Taylor but we don't have to go on if your not okay to talk at the moment"Ashlynn said still thinking about what just happened
"I'm trying to get back to my normal life going to school, being with the mechanics club, watching base ball games but nothing feels the same" Taylor explained
"It's not gonna feel the same with out him but Tyler would want you to keep going and there's still a chance he could get better" Ashlynn says
"Well not many people seem to think so anyway" Taylor replied while staring off
"What do you mean Taylor we all think so-"
Till she was cut off by Taylor
"No not the group of course they're trying to stay positive but just people in general like earlier These girls were saying Tyler is probably dead already and it really stuck with me"
"Listen Taylor these girls don't know how strong he is he'll get better but right now all we can do is hope he gets through this."
Taylor stays silent
"How about after school we all go to visit him in the hospital"
"Thanks ash it would be nice to see him again"
