"It's almost soon, almost the 23rd, almost over...

...but then again...

...It's really just beginning..."

Listen close, and listen carefully.

There are thousands of evil people in this world. Some people become corrupted to do evil; some of the best people in the world can do evil things, and of course, some people are born evil, and most Coverts are born evil. Coverts are mad people, insane magical witches who once terrorized people. No one knows where they reside today, but something tells  that they can be still around.

Most victims are normal adult beings, but they still have no problem terrorizing children; especially if they are the children of former victims. Coverts don't kill people with any weapons, but would rather kill silently.

The only kind of coverts that don't are Varlets. These were once the normal, innocent victims who were followers of luring and trapping the myriads of victims who enter wherever most Coverts are, therefore making them the least evil of the three. Once someone becomes a Varlet, when they die, their eyes will be replaced with just black deep sockets and instead of rotting, their souls are put into an object that traps their soul forever.

Becoming a Varlet is a painful transformation, for it means your heart trying to rip itself apart in your body; while the people around you are either killed or are lured to their hideout.

It was once a big, three-story building that could pacify 3 hotels at most, with each story being as different then the last; so when they all disappeared, the building was destroyed and was rebuilt as a small, yet wealthy neighborhood called Sterling Neighbors in 1901, to which is a lovely sight compared to what had came before it.

These Coverts can be easy to find if anyone can spot the red triangle-shaped pupil in their eyes; otherwise, you might never know if you were looking at a Varlet or a normal person.

The most cunning of Coverts are the Pothives. These creatures can be able to match the appearances of the victims that they bite for a second time; and once a victim touches a body of water, the chameleon and the victim would become prone to taking the others place.

If the victim's body dies in human form or chameleon form, the chameleon will permanently own the victim's body, until a dying or old age. To whom the first Pothive was is unknown, since can be easy to replicate their victims and how they act, but they still are found if you see their green eyes show in their human body, and whoever sees the Pothive's eyes, would be able to see their true form; but be warned, Chameleons can be able to change to their victims' forms if both can show each other.

Finally, the most evil Coverts, or to say the most evil person in all of the creation, the main leader of all of the Coverts is Solona Abyss, the puppeteer to which everyone else is a Marionette performing a show.

Seldoms of people know her true appearance, for she can turn into anyone,  few know her true powers, and no one knows how she came into creation, but she, and almost every single Covert in the known universe, have been able to stay alive for thousands of years. She's the only Covert able to become a technical Varlet and a literal Chameleon, meaning other Varlets can never become Pothives as much as Pothives can never become Varlets, since that would disrespect their creator; and the  few who tried became brutally murdered by the evil witch.

All coverts have distinguished features, but the one many must know is that their eyes give a purple tinge when at their next target; and that they always used to rise on Friday, February 23rd. It was once called a Holiday to them called Coverts Day, where each covert secretly wears their selected colors; Varlets wearing different shades of Red, Pink, and Orange, Pothive's wearing shades of Green, Teal, and sometimes yellow.

So if you ever see a Covert, know these tips, or pray to God that you're not the next target.
