1893
In their final year at Hogwarts, Sebastian Sallow and Ennea Bragge, two Slytherins with a knack for trouble and a dash of charm, found themselves at a bit of a crossroads. Ever since Ennea started in their fifth year, they'd been thick as thieves, always up for a good mystery or a sneaky adventure and then some more.
Now, with graduation looming, they had to think about what came next. But hey, when had a little thing like the future ever stopped them? Their bond, built on late-night escapades, hushed conversations in hidden nooks, and deep personal secrets, was something special. As they stood on the brink of adulthood, the big question was: Could their friendship survive the leap from the Hogwarts halls to the wide, wizarding world?
On a sun-drenched spring day at Hogwarts, Sebastian spotted Ennea lounging by the fountain, her eyes lost in thought. He strolled over, his approach as smooth as his grin. "Hey there," he greeted, his voice a mix of mischief and warmth.
Ennea jumped slightly, almost dropping her book. "Seb! You sneak, I didn't hear you coming." Her annoyance melted into a playful smirk. "I was waiting for you."
His pulse quickened like snitches set loose. There was something about Ennea's smirk that always got to him. "Were you?" his gaze lingered on her. "Well, I was busy charming Madam Scribner," he confessed with a chuckle. "She almost caught me nicking some Restricted Section goodies – again."
Ennea rolled her eyes, her smirk deepening. "Always in trouble, aren't you? I was beginning to think I'd have to rescue you from detention... again."
Sebastian, with a casual lean against the fountain, wore a grin that hinted at mischief. "Alright, I'll admit it, I might have stirred up a bit of trouble. But hey, keeps life at Hogwarts interesting, right?" He gave her a playful nudge. "So, did you miss me, or were you enjoying the peace and quiet?"
Ennea, her eyes sparkling with humor, shot back, "Miss you? I was savoring the rare moment of calm... until now, of course." Her laughter rang through the courtyard, light and infectious, as she playfully closed her book.
Her expression grew thoughtful, reflecting a return to her earlier contemplation. "I'll miss this place. Hogwarts." she sighed. "...Same," he agreed, his smile grew more thoughtful as he looked at her. "We've had some great times here, especially the ones we shared." He shifted a little towards her. His voice was warm and tender, his thoughts wandering into areas he had promised himself he wouldn't go to.
Ennea caught the wistful note in his voice and turned towards him, "Something on your mind?" His face flushed with a tint of red. He wasn't ready to admit what exactly was on his mind. Instead, he opted for a small diversion, "And here you are, buried in books on such a beautiful day. You know, we could be making even more memories, instead of worrying about N.E.W.T.s and all that serious stuff."
There was a moment of quiet reflection. Sebastian's playful expression turned slightly sheepish as Ennea mischievously snagged a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans from his cloak pocket. "Guilty as charged," he said with a light-hearted grin. "Can't resist them, can I?"
Her laughter filled the air, a sound he cherished. "You and your sweet tooth, Sebastian. It's almost legendary," she teased, shaking the box with a chuckle.
He couldn't help but laugh along, a warm flush spreading across his face. "Well, I might have snacked on a few on my way here," he confessed, his eyes twinkling. "Hope you don't mind sharing the loot."
Ennea's eyes sparkled with affection. "It's just so... you," she said, the fondness in her voice making his heart skip a beat. "Stealing sweets like a mischievous schoolboy."
