Part 2 - A huge leak

I screamed. A scream I never thought I'd hear from my mouth. It was something between a Lydia scream and a "Uh oh. You forgot to do something that your dad, or mom specifically told you to do and they came back home and it wasn't done and you were in huge trouble" scream. I heard a lot of those screams over at Scott's house. To be completely fair, I thought I was dead. Imagine passing out from hypothermia and waking up...somewhere. I still have no idea where I am.

"Dude can you hear us?" I hear, from a familiar voice. But I cant really make out who's voice it is

"Scott, just let him sleep for a second, Ok?" I hear, definitely from a voice I know. Its Lydia's voice

"Stiles, buddy, can you hear us. You in there?" Scott says, poking my face.

"Just a few more minutes dad.." I groan, sleepily closing and opening my eyes.

I yawn, sitting up on... a car seat. More specifically, my car seat. Were in my Jeep.

"Oh hey...Scott? and Lydia?" I say with a definite hint of confusion in my voice

"What's going on, why are you guys here?" I ask whiles Lydia hands me a scalding cup of coffee.

I really don't know why our default drink is coffee but I guess were all so used to it because I immediately grab it and begin to drink it.

"We found you. Passed out and on your roof. We guessed it might've been from the pool of water you were floating around in. " Lydia says, but her tone makes it seems as if that was just your average Tuesday.

"Well its not just you. Everyone's having the same problem. Pipes are busting left and right. Really, to be honest, the entire towns system of water is broken. Its pretty weird" Scott says whiles turning back to look at me.

"So it happened to you guys too? How bad was it for you guys?" I ask.

I mean sure I've been involved in a bunch of weird things, but this just teetered on the edge of supernatural and natural, and if there was a scale, natural was definitely winning. I look outside towards this seemingly normal town, though many of us knew it was far from normal. Lydia has her hands on the steering wheel, driving in silence as we all look out to see the destruction caused. Houses on the left and right are completely destroyed, broken and caved in. One house was actually picked up by the water and was floating, it was ramming into any tree it could find its little wooden handles on.

"Well...I'd definitely say it was on the better side after seeing those houses." Lydia says with her eyes looking back onto the road in front of us.

"Agreed" Scott says

"Here, I'll text Derek and the others and ask them about their situation. We might all need a new place to stay." I say, wrinkling my forehead.

"By the way, where are we going?" I say, finally asking the most important question of today.

"Lydia?"

She doesn't respond. Scott doesn't say anything either.

"Guys what's.." I say, pausing mid sentence.

The car stops. We are at the local pool. It looks more like an ocean though. The entire place is over flooded, if that's even a word that I can use to describe it. There really aren't any words to describe what this is. Its just... a gigantic mass of water. I look at Lydia and Scott, they're still paused, almost like a frozen statue. With all of the stuff that we had seen in the past years, this shouldn't be enough to make them freeze like this. I push past them and finally I see it.

A dead body.

More specifically, our first dead body.
