Mufasa was anxiously pacing outside of the den of Pride Rock. All the other lionesses and Rafiki were in the den, helping Sarabi give birth. Mufasa kept glancing at the entrance, waiting for someone to come out. Zazu was doing his best to calm the anxious king. The birth was taking longer than Mufasa expected it to be.
"Your Majesty." Mufasa heard.
"Finally!" Mufasa thought. He turned to see Sarafina nearby.
"We're ready for you." Sarafina said.
Mufasa followed her into den. The lionesses were around Sarabi. They all looked up when he entered. He rushed over to Sarabi.
"We have a daughter." Sarabi said.
Mufasa smiled at the newborn cub. She had lighter fur than his. Closer to Sarabi's coloring, not exactly the same. But, she did have his red eye color and a striking red tail end. She also had a unique star birth mark on her forehead.
"She's beautiful." Mufasa said.
He took notice of Rafiki and some of the other lionesses crowding around an area of the den.
"What's going on?" Mufasa asked as he walked over to them. He gasped when he saw three cubs. "Rafiki?"
"Sarabi birthed a litter of four cubs." Rafiki explained. "The birth was very trying on her and the cubs. Unfortunately, your daughter is the only one who survived."
"Boys or girls?" Mufasa asked.
"Three boys." Rafiki replied.
Mufasa gently rubbed the top of each cub's head with his paw. "I'm sorry." He whispered before walking back over to Sarabi.
"How's our little princess?" Mufasa asked. "Our precious Miujiza."
"Perfect." Sarabi said.
"And how's my Queen?" Mufasa asked.
"Tired." Sarabi responded.
"Would you like to name our daughter before getting some sleep?" Mufasa asked.
"We both liked Zahara." Sarabi answered. "I would also like to name the boys."
"What about Azizi, Jabari, and Khari?" Mufasa asked.
"They're wonderful." Sarabi said.
"Get some rest." Mufasa said, nuzzling her neck. "I'll watch over our princess."
Zahara made a couple mewing sounds as Mufasa gently bathed her.
Once Sarabi had recovered from the enduring birth, they did the presentation of Asha to the animals of the Pride Lands, a few days later.
AN: Miujiza means "miracle" in Swahili.
Azizi means "strong" or "powerful" in Swahili.
Jabari means "brave" or "valiant" in Swahili.
Khari means "kingly" in Swahili.
