When I open my eyes, I try to stand up to see if they were still there or if I had been moved. My head started spinning and I regretted it immediately. Everything looked blurry and hazy. I stood still, my eyes closed, letting the dizziness pass over. When the worst of the migraine was over, I noticed that everything was the same. I quickly check to see if I had all of my belongings, but everything was just the way I left it. My backpack was where I dropped it to fight off the two bastards, and my wallet had all the money I had when I checked this morning. Confused, I look at my phone to see that merely five minutes had passed since I left home. Bewildered, I start wracking my brain for a reasonable explanation as to how all my possessions were left the way it was and how merely five minutes had passed after all that happened. If they hadn't wanted anything, why had they chased me? I didn't know what to make of the situation so I did what I did best. I ran.

I entered my first class in a rush, my hair a mess, a look of confusion and nervousness in my eyes. Without much thought of my appeal, I took my seat and accepted the detention slip. I still couldn't shake the feeling that what happened that morning was real. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't focus on my classes. Everything passed in a blur and I considered myself lucky that I wasn't called on in any of my classes so far. I was too confused to focus on anything. My next period was math. Yet again another boring subject, but I at least got to sit next to Kaden and pretend I didn't bring my pencil just to talk to him.

He was very much out of my league but that never stopped any girl from drooling over him. Especially Sylvia. She's the typical mean girl of every tv show. She's blonde, she's rich, and she's a bitch. She would constantly bat her eyes, twirl her hair, or complain about a broken nail. Does she have a backpack? No, she has a handbag. Does she have a pencil? Yes. Can she use it? No. Why? Because it's eyeliner. But I was too troubled to think about that right now. While everyone else was trying to learn about pre-calculus, I couldn't help but think that everything I went through that morning actually happened. It felt so real.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Sylvia eye me and snicker. Rolling my eyes, I try ignoring her. Getting involved with her would cause more trouble for me then good. I felt a sharp poke on my arm. Ignoring it, I continued to concentrate on Mr.Smith's lecture. The poking continued constantly until I snapped.

"What in the world would you possibly want?" I growled looking at Sylvia.

She gave me a sweet smile and twirled her hair between her fingers. "I was just going to point out your..." she pointed at my hair with her eyeliner. "Rat nest." she concluded and smiled as if congratulating herself for the 'clever' joke. "It's a little messy."

"No shit sherlock." I muttered and looked up to her and forced a smile. "Why thank you, I didn't notice at all."

As I finished talking, I noticed the silence in the class. I heard I whack on my desk, and even before I looked up, I knew what was going to happen. I look up to see Mr. Smith looking back at me with disapproving eyes.

"Because Ms. Aaron was too busy talking, she could not answer a simple question." he said loudly. He looked at Sylvia and she gave him an innocent look.

"I'm sorry, Mr.Smith, Leah was just asking me how to solve this problem." Sylvia answered. "And she was very rude about it when I told her I would teach it to her later so as to not disrupt your class."

"What, no-"

"Right then, Ms. Aaron." Mr.Smith said, interrupting me. "Thank you, Sylvia." he nodded at Sylvia.

Everyone in the class started snickering. Mr.Smith continued talking. "Now that I have your attention, could you please answer the question that I have asked you not once, but twice?"

I started panicking and looked around pleadingly for answers. I sighed in relief when Kaden showed me his paper that read no limits.

Mr. Smith looked at me impatiently.

"Uhmm... Erm... no limits?" I stuttered.

Mr. Smith raised an eyebrow at me accusingly. "Well Ms. Aaron I'll be expecting you tomorrow after school."

When the bell rang, I buried my face in my hands feeling embarrassed. Right when I was about to leave, someone tapped on my shoulders. I twitched in surprise but when I turned around, I quickly relaxed.

"Hey, sorry didn't mean to startle you. Um... Sorry for getting you in trouble, I was just trying to help." Kaden said sheepishly, ruffling his sandy brown hair.

My jaw dropped to the floor. Kaden Brant, the Kaden Brant was talking to me. I stuttered, "It's fine. It's fine, everything's fine. You didn't get me in trouble. I got myself in trouble." Smooth. Real smooth Leah. Kaden just laughed.

"Well, we better get to fourth period. See you around!"

All I could do was stand there and wave like an idiot.

Right when I was about to open my locker, I look to my right to see Sylvia glaring at me through her false eyelashes. She had a look of annoyance and anger as if I had said something rude to her. I gave her a cool smile and walked away. I didn't want to get in anymore trouble because of her.

It was impossible to stay awake during science. All Ms.Cady wanted to do was go through a slide show explaining how when a guy meets the girl, they have sex, and get a baby. Most of the guys in this class know more about that than she probably does. Sadly, I was given detention for falling asleep. Three detentions in one day. That had to be my new record.
