Death in harmony

Part 2

I started thinking about how this all began... in September, on the 27th... 2 days ago...

" No Chase, It's one two and three four, not one and two three and four," William said as Mrs. Landess lectured Kasey for talking about shaking in her bed at night. "Okay" Mrs. Landess yells. "The lost kingdom, measures 13 to end, Horns up, One, Two, Ready, Play!" HoNk, SqUeAk, and all noises in between are made. I swear we sound better than this! "Ok Let's try this again, Horns up, One, Two, Ready, Play!" Mr. Landess yells to the class. This time we played it almost perfectly. Except for the trombones, they are trombones you can't change them.

A little later...

"There was a spider in your flute? What? Kasey gasped " Yeah It flew into Alexs' face and I felt so bad but it was dead so that's the plus side, " I gave a small smile " But how'd it get in there?" Kasey asked me " Honestly I have zero clue how it got in there," I said confused which was true, I was confused " Wait what's happening? " Mrs. Ladness asked us, " Oh there was just a dead spider in her flute!" Kasey and Mrs. Landess looked confused and I just sat there smiling. " You look insane!" Jessica laughed " I'm not though " I replied '' Oh... and just to remind you that you're coming over to my house tonight," Jessica spoke with a smile. " Ok, thanks for reminding me!" I replied. I smiled and finished band class.

Later that night...

I walked up to Jessica's house, Knocked on the door, and she answered. "Hey come on in!" Jessica smiled "So we will be going somewhere but you need this blindfold so you don't know where we are going, also we are going to be walking," Jessica said as I heard her footsteps in front of me " Oh I can't wait! " I smiled. As we walked down the path I heard snakes, crickets, and the faint sound of dogs barking. We were getting farther and farther from our neighborhood. I got more and more eager to see this place, but more and more worried about why we were so far away from our neighborhood. Another 15 minutes had passed and we were finally there... at an abandoned warehouse? " We are here, Take the blindfold off!" Jessica commanded. Her words were so controlling. My body moved without me moving it, and I was going to say "What if I didn't want to?" but my body moved before I could. "Something is off here," I thought, "Why would my body move on its own without me moving it?" I thought to myself. "Well come on in, we are waiting," Jessica smirked. I couldn't talk for some reason, my body was moving all on its own! " What is going on, why can't I control my movements... Wait, this is Jessica's supposed power, Rumor has it that she has the ability to control people!

This is a super creepy power, my question is why didn't she ever tell me that she had this power, I could have led her in the right direction and not let her go like this... and used this ability of hers for whatever this is..." I thought to myself. We were finally inside the warehouse, and there were several shadowy figures, humans of course.

"How would you like to serve me?" Jessica asked, " Like the rest of these people are!" Jessica grinned. They all stepped forward and I recognized them all from band class. James, Luna, Hannah, Ava, Benjamin, and Alex!

James laughed. " Why are you recruiting her? She is too weak for this job!" James asked with a look of disgust on his face., " What job?" I thought. "Because she can be a valuable asset," Jessica looked over at me, then whispered to James, "Plus she might be the chosen one... and if they find her and her power unlocks then she can be deadly to us!" Not knowing that I could hear her. "What is my power?" I wonder. I finally had control over my body so I walked up to James and grabbed his throat and pushed him against the wall. " I have zero clue what I have gotten myself into but NO ONE CALLS ME WEAK!" I yell!

It felt really good like a weight had been lifted, and I was also scared because I was choking James. " That tells you she is strong so she is going to join!" Hannah smiled. " Let go Jordan," Jessica commanded. "Ok fine" I complained. I let James catch his breath " Why is he here? You know we hate each other's guts!" I complained, "Remind me to never make her mad," Benjamin said, partly scared. James finally caught his breath and jumped at me, he reached for my neck but I jumped out of the way, and I kicked him in the stomach. James gasped and fell to the ground while I had this disgusting smile on my face! "Why do you try so hard to kill her, James?" Benjamin asked.

"Because seeing her dead will bring me so much happiness!" James grinned. "This was all confusing and concerning to me but it was fun beating James up!" I thought to myself. " Just because you want to kill me doesn't mean you could!" I smirked and I started walking off, and James started standing up. When he finally stands up completely, he shoots me a look and I shoot him back a creepy look. He looks at me in shock and struggles to turn away from me, then about 10 seconds later Jessica says " Hey Jordan do you wanna hear my new song on the oboe? "

I break eye contact with James and say " Yes sure why not! " I gave a big smile unknowing that Jessica was about to take full control over me with that song. Jessica gets out her oboe, puts it together, and before she can play anything I say " Wait... Why am I getting a bad feeling about this?"

Jessica gets sort of an annoyed look on her face, and Benjamin just walks up to me and asks as he puts his hand on my shoulder " Is something wrong?" He had a caring look on his face but it was also stern. I got a little suspicious but I like Jessica's music so I decided to listen to it anyway. Jessica played the song... after she played it everyone got this weird look on their face like they had made some big achievement as I slowly passed out...

I woke up in the band room and all I saw was James dead on the ground with Jessica covered in blood and the walls were drenched in blood " James betrayed me..." She said with a creepy face...
