Benedict slowly opened his eyes, expecting to see his familiar bedroom. But to his surprise, the room was different. The walls were a dark shade of grey and there were strange paintings hanging on them. Benedict jolted up in bed, looking around in confusion. "AHH! Where am I?" he exclaimed. Then it hit him. He remembered that he was in a different world, living with Carlos. Benedict chuckled, realizing that he often forgets where he is. He got up and walked towards the window, opening the curtains. His jaw dropped when he saw the sky was now a hot pink color. It was just another strangeness of this world. Benedict found some clothes in the closet and got dressed.

As he made his way downstairs, the delicious smell of food filled his nose. Carlos had made breakfast and spoke with that same cold tone, "Hey, breakfast is ready." Benedict's stomach growled, reminding him that he was hungry. He sat down at the table and Carlos brought over a plate of pancakes. As Benedict dug in, he noticed that Carlos wasn't eating, just sipping on a cup of coffee. "Why aren't you eating?" Benedict asked. "I already ate," replied Carlos, his dark red eyes glowing slightly. Benedict chuckled, "Oh well, coffee is great for energy!" Carlos just nodded and continued to drink his coffee. Benedict couldn't help but feel grateful for his friend and this strange, new world they were living in

Carlos put his mug down with a loud thud and looked at the man sitting across from him. They had been sharing a table at the large kitchen for almost 20 minutes now, yet Carlos realized he still didn't know Benedict's name. "What's your name?" Carlos asked, breaking the comfortable silence between them. The man, who had been busy eating his pancakes, looked up and smiled. "The name is Benedict," he replied. Carlos couldn't help but notice how Benedict's eyes lit up when he said his name. "Can I call you Ben for short?" Carlos asked, feeling a sudden urge to give him a nickname. Benedict thought for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Of course! My name is Benedict, but you can call me Ben for short "

Benedict finished his food and looked up at Carlos. He couldn't believe what he was hearing a disguise to hide from the demons and other creatures?! He was just a regular human being enjoying his breakfast. But now he was thrust into a world he never knew existed. "Ben?" Carlos repeated, snapping Benedict out of his thoughts. "Sure, that works," he replied with a small smile. Carlos nodded and then spoke again with that same deep tone. "Good, because we need to get going. We have a long day ahead of us." Benedict followed Carlos out of the kitchen, his mind racing with questions and fears. But he knew he had to trust this stranger if he wanted to survive in this world of demons. And with that, he took his first step into his new life as Ben, the disguised demon.
