"You look fine." Sedona assured Faye as the latter presented another outfit choice to the basketball player.

"Yes, but fine isn't good."

"Look, I'm sorry." Sedona apologized, tossing her phone onto the couch. "Fashion isn't really my thing. It's more Lila's."

"What about me?" Sedona's girlfriend asked, leaving her food on the counter before joining the two by the couch. "Ooh, nice outfit. I literally love your sneakers." She commented immediately.

"Thank you!" Faye gave her a wide smile. "I'm so glad one of you two knows how to hype up your friends."

"That just really isn't Dona's thing." Lila grinned, sitting down with her girlfriend.

"That's what I said."

A car horn honked outside. "That's Sabrina, so I guess I'm wearing this." Faye stated as she grabbed her bag and put her sneakers on. "Later guys, have fun."

"Bye!"

"Bye."

"Look at you." Sabrina smiled, eyeing her friend up and down. "You look great in your 'best roller skating clothes.'"

Faye tsked. "Shut up. You and I both know I spent the past half hour digging through my closet trying to find something to wear."

"Yeah, I know. But it's fun to annoy you."

"Clearly, since you do it so often."

"Ooh, low blow." Sabrina handed her phone to Faye. "Here. You choose the music."

Faye happily took the phone, and within a matter of seconds, Taylor Swift was blasting throughout the car. It started with Faye's favorite Speak Now song, "Mean," and quickly went on to her favorite Taylor Swift song ever- "New Year's Day"

"No, nuh uh." Sabrina objected. "No depressing crap in my car."

"This crap, as you call it, is actually one of the greatest songs ever written."

"Mhm." Sabrina stopped the car at a red light before glancing at Faye. "For some reason, I highly doubt that."

"Just listen."

"You're absolutely insane if you think you're paying." Sabrina simply stated, pushing Faye over slightly to insert her card.

"Sab, you're being ridiculous."

She smiled at the man behind the counter as she removed her card. "No I'm not." She linked their arms together. "Let's go get our skates."

Faye didn't know how to describe it, but she had this feeling when Sabrina's skin brushed against hers. Or when she smiled at her. Or even when she was in the same room as her. But to her, that was just a friendly feeling.

XXX

"Okay, twice in one day is actually crazy." Faye beamed as the intro to "New Year's Day" began to play across the rink.

"It is." Sabrina simply stated, trying to hide her smirk. It wasn't 'actually crazy.' Somebody had just made a request to the DJ. Luckily for her, Faye took notice to some familiar faces sitting just outside the rink. She skated over, leaving Sabrina standing on the opposite side of the rink.

"Fancy seeing you two here. It's not like you two knew me and Sab were coming here."

Sedona placed a hand around her girlfriend's back and gave a small grin to the singer. "We just wanted to see you and Sabrina on your date."

Faye rolled her eyes. "Mhm."

What none of them could see was that from where Faye left her, Sabrina was staring at Faye, trying to justify the friendly feelings in the pit of her stomach.
