I have this dream.

It starts slow; us lying in tall grass gazing up at the setting night sky. Ready to put on it's greatest performance.

The temperature drops, yet I can feel the warmth of your skin beside me, never making me feel cold while lying still in your presence.

I want to grasp your hand before the show starts above but I am afraid of your rejection, afraid you will turn your back and leave me to freeze in the dark like the ones before you who laid beside me.

I've always told you how pretty the stars are, I wish to experience them with you.

Light years away galaxies have begun to explode, its light seen from where we lay. trillions of lights form above us leaving my jaw open in awe. I'd ask if you've ever seen things like this so pretty when I'm left speechless.

In the reflection of your eyes are the galaxies exploding before us.

This is all a dream, it's all a dream as I feel the love pouring out of my chest staring at your eyes in utter wonder and awe of something so wondrous. Look at me with those eyes. Please.

I could feel my heart leaping in its race for you, just look at me and I'd bear my entire soul for you to watch like the galaxies before us. Please. Look my way.

As my dream conjures its delusions, your gaze slowly wanders from the stars and into my own, staring down the barrel of my soul that yearns for you. Please don't reject my love.

Tears have gathered, both in mine and your eyes.

No, you tell me silently 'I haven't seen anything so pretty'

I reach interlocking our hands together, rubbing my thumb in a soothing circle 'I have, I have seen something so pretty'

Warmth floods me inside and out. I don't want to stop watching the stars with you. I don't want to leave you here. But reality is calling and I know you'd never take your eyes off the stars. At least in the comfort of my dreams, You glance back at me.

The ceiling is crumbling, and I look at the fan slowly whirling. I wished for the stars to go away.
