The home which was always lively has now lost its colours. The walls, once witnessed the laughter and bickering of her now stands alone. The dinner table, who witnessed a shared meal and conversation, now stands alone in a haunting silence. The home-she called is waiting for her presence. Not only the walls are hollow but the hearts of the people are the same since the heart of the family is no more in the home.
Was it the punishment? But for what?
As Isha's ma stands in her room. She could only see the emptiness that surrounded her. Only the photos of their family and her son were hanging. She's left with unanswered questions that linger in her heart. Where did she go wrong.?
Did she pressurise her? Was it because of pressure? No! Till now the lesson she has taught her is 'to never ever let the task go unfinished. Because somewhere it shows that we aren't capable of.' But she did the same. I stepped closer and caressed her picture. Isha's room doesn't have much of her own photos, it was always about her family. She sighed as she knows, trying to find her daughter is like trying find the fish's footprint.
But she's her mother!
Isha's pa, seated on the bed as he gaze at his Queen photo-his daughter. She's always been a queen and will be a Queen not a princess. He remembers her talks- suddenly he remembers her first word. It was Ma, tho it's not like he's not happy because the next word she uttered was Pa. As if it will hurt her Pa if she didn't. He was so happy that he was about to slip into unconsciousnes.
Even when she said she's with a child, we weren't angry on her it was just we felt a little hurt and were upset. We were upset because she didn't tell us anything about having child. But, Running away? No! She's not a person who would run away like a coward. She must've had a reason for her act. I sent silent wishes to the universe, hoping that the choices she makes lead her towards fulfilment, keeping aside the thought that she's away from us. She's forging her path like a Queen she is, she doesn't need any guidance.
Junior, my another reason to survive. As I sit on my bed watching the rocking chair, relishing the memories I have with her. She never slept alone, no, not because she was scared. But because she wanted the warmth of the family. First she would be with Kabir, then jump to my room and early morning she would be in the middle of their parents sleeping with them. Even when eating she never have food from her plate it was always us who used to feed her.
I want her back! She's a very beautiful part of my book which will be immortal always. I find myself powerless and filled with nothing but hollow in my heart. I send silent wishes to the almighty, hoping that the he cradles her in safety, and that destiny will guide her footsteps back to the embrace of her family.
Kabir sitting on the bench in the garden, zoned out. 'I watch as my family has withered since she left. I just hope she comes back to her family soon. Because they are shattered beyond my thinking. Some shows it but some mask it. Im feeling burdened by the truth. The secret, the promise made in the space of sibling bond. The truth needs to be shielded in shadows.'
