A Full Moon Controversy

The First Full Moon

After Harry and Ginny arrived, we ate dinner. We talked about how Chresia was almost 3/4 of a way done with the process if becoming an animagus. Her dad had made her start early. She would become a full one the day before the next full moon. We also discussed how Harry had experienced werewolf transformation before his eyes. He said he could not describe how painful it looked.

The thing was.... It made me fear of what I, myself, would become.. I don't want any one to get hurt, because of me. Apparently I looked pale or distressed, because everyone stopped eating and stared at me. I cleared my throat and spoke, " Umm.. I'm going to exscuse myself for a few moments.."

With that, I silently got up and left thebroom. I ran upstairs to my rokm, and slumped onto my bed, silently crying. I hadn't realized that Chresia had trailed after me.

She rubbed my back, and said, "Annika, I will never know the pain you are going to go through... But I want you to know that Ill be there every step of the way." That made me cry harder.

" Chres, i-i don't w-want you to g-get hurt, b-because of me!! I'm a monster!!"

"Annika, when I'm a full animagus, there is a lesser chance of you injuring me. I promise I'll be ok."

Ending with a hug, we went back downstairs to finish our dinner.

Annika POV

I woke up early, shaking. Tonight was a full moon. I was about to wake Chresia up, but I decided I should let her rest. She had just recently become a full animagus. I slowly got up, through on some shoes, and crept over to the window. Opening it slowly, I got onto the roof, and slid down the gutter.

I just needed some time to think.

Chresia POV

Yawning, I opened my eyes. I stretched then turned to look at Annika, but....... She was gone. Paklniking I jumped out of bed.

Oh no... The window was wide open. Dang it Annika, you just had to do this today!!

I slid on my hunting boots, and a jaxket, and left through the window. Now, where could she have gone?

Then I got it. The lake. Her favorite spot to think. I sighed, and started walking. I bet I'd be warmer if I was in my animagus form. So I transformed into it. Instantly, I felt warmer from the fur covering my dog/wolf body.

I started to jog to the pond. A few minutes later, I arrived. There she was,sitting on the dock. She had her shoes to the side of her, and her feet were dangling, touching the water. I changed back to human, and walked towards her.

"Annika, its me, Chresia."

She jumped, and turned towards me. Her usually blondish, red, brown hair was graying and dull. Her eyes were also a puffy red. She took from her dads side, she's a metamorphmagus.

It saddened me to see her in this state. She looked depressed, and also scared out of her site. Tears were streaming down her face, but she left them there, undisturbed. She was shaking like a leaf. I watched her nod, and turn back around, and stare into the water. Her body was taking with what I presumed to be sobs.

I wish there was some way to comfort her... Wait, maybe there was! I turned into my dog/wolf hybrid and padded up behind her. I nudged my head under her arm. She stopped sobbing for a second, before weaving her fingers through my long fur.

We sat there for a long time. As I looked up at her, I noticed her eyes dropping. Her breathing slowed as her eyes were no loger visible..

She was asleep....

I dare not wake her, so I sit there. About 20 minutes, I heard faint footsteps. I knew exactly who it was.. Teddy. As he came near me, he whispered, "Thank you Chresia." He scooped her up in his arms, and headed back towards the house.

Annika POV.

I ran my fingers through Chres's long , dark fur, and called down a bit. After a while, I fell asleep...

I was in a weird place. It was a white room, but it seemed to stretch on forever. As I turned around, I saw a man. He had graying brown hair, and amber eyes. He smiled at me.

" It's nice to finally meet my grand daughter Annika. I'm your Grampy Remus. I saw what happened to you, so I decided to pay you a visit.."

My eyes welled with tears, and slowly fell down my face. I closed my eyes, trying to keep it togetber. I was actually meeting my Grampy. This couldn't be real...could it?

I felt arms wrap around me lightly, and I opened my eyes. Grampy Remus was hugging me.

" it's going to be alright Annika. You're going to pull through this. You have people that love you, and they will take care of you. I don't want you to think for a second that you don't deserve anything else but dwath, because you do."

He pulled away and looked deep into my hazel eyes.

"T-thanks Grampy."

" Anytime sweetheart. I'll be visiting you again soon. I'll also be watching you tonight to keep an eye out on you."

"Goodbye Annika"

"Goodbye Grampy."

With that I woke up.

It was now 8:00 and I was terrified. In just a few minutes, I would be having my first transformation. I don't want to hurt anyone near me, and I couldn't take it anymore. I ran off my back deck and sprinted for the woods.

All at once, I felt it. Pain wearing through every limb, muscle, and vein in my very being. I howled in pain as I started to transform.

Who am i?

I'm losing it..

Chresia POV.

Oh no.. Annika forgot her wolfsbane.. I raced off the deck, followed by Teddy, and Harry, who was visiting.

"Annika come back!!"

I suddenly heard a shriek of pain.
