Annika POV
It had been a few weeks since the full moon. Everything was well. Well..... sort of. Chresia had a scar where I had injured her, but it was faint. She didn't seem fazed by it, because she was still energetic as always.
Me? I became more quiet, and Chresia became worried. I assured her that I was okay. She looked like she believed me, but I knew it was false.
The visits with Grampy became more frequent. Even if they weren't every night, I still favored each visit. Once, he had even brought messages for my dad, Chresia, and even Harry.
Grampy even included that Sirius was going to visit Chresia soon.
So when Chresia sling my door open, muttering excitedly, I didn't question it.
"Annika! Oh my, oh my! Guess what? Guess what?"
She shook my shoulders, and screamed excitedly. For a young girl, she had an iron grip.
"Ow..." I muttered.
"Oh suck it up! Listen ya bumby!" She shorted.
I motioned for her to sit down, so she could explain her father obnoxious outburst. She threw herself onto my bed, almost knocking me off in the process. We had a fit of laughter, before we called down enough for her to explain.
"Ok, Ok, you gotta listen closely, alright Moony?"
I nodded to show my understanding .
"The REAL Padfoot payed me a visit in my dreams last night! Just like Moony visits you!" She squealed.
My jaw slacked open in amazement , and shock.
"Oi! Don't break your jaw Moony!"
I ignored her comment, and hugged her tightly, which seemed to catch her off guard.
"That's awesome Paddy!"
As we squealed, she started to explain what her grandfather had told her.
"He said that he was really proud of me. One for helping you, and two for becomming an animagus."
I nodded, encouraging her to continue.
"He went on and on about how much id grown, and kept saying that he was lucky to have me as a granddaughter." She seemed hesitant before deciding to speak more.
" H-he also warned that they sense a new evil.."
Avoiding eye contact with me, she impatiently tapped her fingers against her leg. A new evil? I'll have to keep that in mind as a question to ask Grampy.
"Well Padfoot, we shouldn't worry about it now! I mean, we're ten now, and you know how much of a jokster your grandpa used to be."
She nodded and laughed nervously.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been a year or later since Paddy had warned me of our grandparents sense. Nothing had happened, so we figured we were safe.
The full moons were still terrible, some worse than others. I still hadn't got used to them, and I don't think I ever will.
I did end up questioning Remus about what Sirius had said to Chresia. He responded with a warm smile, and told me not to worry about it just yet... That left me questioning. It had thrown me off, but I knew better than to question it.
It was now the end of July, and Chresia and I were officially 11 years old. We were ecstatic about receiving our Hogwarts letters.
I was in my roo, changing the color of my hair just for fun. We were expecting to meet Harrys granddaughter, Raven, daughter of Albus Severus.
Lost in my contentment, I didn't hear my dad yell from downstairs. I acknowledged it when he ran into my room, green hair sticking up, excitement on his visage.
"Annika! Your letter came!" He yelled, waving it around.
Stopping at pixie cut, blue hair, I whipped around to face him. Hurriedly, I snatched the letter from him.
It was... my acceptance letter had finally arrived!
Chresia had gotten hers, making it clear that she was happy. Tomorrow, we planned to meet Raven. This, I could tell, was going to be interesting.
