*Dao's pov*
Everything feels so unreal right now. Sun looks like he's going to tear him apart and honestly, I feel the same way. He's having so much fun with this. I can see it clearly. He derives joy from our pain.
The door of the room burst open and Moon rushed in along with the police. He obviously doesn't expect it but still has enough common sense left to make a run for it. Phi Chayan stopped him but he pulled out a hidden gun and shot Phi Chayan before anyone could stop him. An officer quickly took away the gun and he was taken away but he wouldn't stop yelling.
"Chayan! You white eyed wolf. Is this how you repay me?"
It's so noisy.
Phi Chayan made use of the chaos to slip out quietly. Our eyes met for a millisecond before I looked away. He's done this much. I'm willing to give him the benefit of a doubt.
Mom is over by Sun and Moon is hovering around
"Sun baby are you okay?"
"I'm fine mom."
That's how it always is. I'm all alone. Agai-
"Hi sweetie are you alright?"
I raised my head to see the most beautiful woman I'd ever laid eyes on. Kinda makes all this worth it if I'm being honest.
"Honey can you answer me ?"
"Yea. Yes, I'm fine. Thank you"
"Oh that's good. We would like to do a follow-up on the case are you up for it or do you need some time"
"I'm fine. Definitely up for it"
"Ohh. Just don't overdo it"
"I won't"
"Alright let's go. Your family is outside. I'm Pam by the way "
I raised my eyes to meet hers and smiled
"I'm Dao"
*Sun's pov*
Dao came out with a policewoman and said she would go to the station for follow-up...
"Stay safe okay Dao"
"I will. See you later"
And then it's time to face the one thing weighing down on my mind. Moon held my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
Mom there's something important I think you should know. But this isn't the place. Let's go home first.
The drive home was very tense and the moment we got home mom couldn't wait to question me.
"Sun what's all this abou-"
"Did dad have a child?"
"Well there's you and your sister"
"Another child. One that's older than the both of us"
"Of course not. Where'd you get that"
"He said Chayan is our half brother. And that das knew. That he knew about everything"
"You're letting him get to you"
"I'm just trying to understand"

[One week later]
*Unknown pov*
I stood over his motionless body for the one millionth time this week. He's still unconscious.
"Water..."
Oh- rewind that though. He's finally awake. His voice is a bit hoarse from lack of use.
I passed him a cup of water and he sat up to drink. Only then noticing his surroundings
"Where am I?"
" My house. Where else?"
He cleared his throat and peered at me
"Who are you?"

"A friend"
"I don't have many friends and I'd recognize them all"
"Well congrats. I'm the one you forgot"
"Err sorry?"
I saw him move to come down from the bed and I rushed over to support him. Not sooner had my hands reached him. He started tracing the scar on my arm. I could only clench my teeth and let him do what he wants
"It's a gunshot. Not that old either. How'd you get it"
I pushed the words through gritted teeth
"Fools errand"
"Oh. I was also shot"
"Yea. The wound got infected and I happened to find you. Fainted "
"I'm really grateful. I don't know how I'll ever be able to pay you back"
"Save it. You're awake. Let's get you moving bit by bit "
I gave him a tour of my house and we ended up at the garage
"Is this your bike?"
"Yea"
"What model is it?"
"Customized. You'll never find another like it in the world "
"Oh. It looks familiar though "
"Yea ? Great. Now move along "
