Mist POV---

I take the kids to school and then head back home and clean the house. A few hours later the Toby comes running in.
"Toby?" I ask confused as Charlie walks in with Sarah
"Charlie" I say confused as fuck
"Hey" He croaks
"What are you doing back" I ask confused
"I thought you needed the help so im back" He says setting Sarah on the ground, He walks towards me and hugs me
"I- Uhm" I dont know what to say and i just hug him back.
"Wait" I say backing up
"Whats wrong" Charlie asks confused
"W-Did you know he left" I ask confused and scared
"Yeah" Charlie says with a long pause
"But on the bright side he wont be seeing you anymore" Charlie says with a smug look
"Charlie" I say scared
"What did you do to David" I say horrified
"Oh I did nothing, But my friends.....Never mind" Charlie says smugly and walking towards me again. I run to the kitchen and I grab a knife
"Get out of my house now" I yell and the Toby comes running in with Sarah
"Daddy's on the phone" Toby says stopping where he is, I try run to the phone but Charlie grabs me
"Toby, tell your father I'm in a bit of trouble and I will talk to him later" I say softly as Toby runs out the room, Charlie lets me go and I sit down, Charlie sits next to me and I look at him
"Why did you come back" I spit at him
"Because I love you and im not letting you go" Charlie hisses back at me and I jump up I start to run out the room when Charlie grabs my again and pins me to the counter, He grabs a knife and holds it against my throat. I start to cry and the tears roll down my face slowly. I try push him away but he doesn't budge. Toby runs back in the room and screams.
"MUMMY" Toby yells scared
"Toby baby. Mummy is fine, I'm just having a little fun" I say trying to hide the hurt. Toby runt to Sarah and runs upstairs with her
"A little fun" Charlie asks confused putting pressure on the knife on my neck. Tears stream down my face and my voice starts to shake
"C-Charlie listen. I have kids. You cant kill me" I shake out as he smirks
"We will see about that" He snickers and moves the knife to my chest, I start to shake and I hear a car pull up in the drive, I close my eyes and David comes running in, He pushes Charlie off me and the police come running in
"Where are Toby and Sarah" David mumbles into my ear hugging me tightly
"Upstairs" I say wiping my eyes. I watch as the police handcuff Charlie. I sigh of relief. Toby comes down with Sarah in his arms. David walks over to him and takes Sarah out of his arms and picks them both up, He walks over to me and pulls me into a hug tightly with the kids, After about 4 hours the kids go to bed and David and I are sat on the couch downstairs. He grabs my hand and looks at the floor
"Look, I know I haven't been the greatest and I want to be here for the kids and you, But I'm always busy, and I hate to think about coming home to a murder scene, I want you to come with me" David says and I shoot my head at him and kiss him
"David, Look, I would love to come with you but what about the kids education" I mumble softly
"We will get them in a school in America, That's where were going if you wanna join me" He mumbles in his London accent and it makes me smile
"Okay fine, But just remember Charlie will find us if he gets out of jail" I say softly
1 year later. Life gets better for them. Charlie is still in jail, Mist is thinking about marriage but isn't sure that's what David wants. Since the age gap.
"David" I croak out at the crack of dawn
"Hmm?" He mumbles softly as he spins over wrapping his arms round my waist pulling me into him
"We need to get the kids to school" I whisper softly to him
"Get the Nanny to take them. It's like...6am" he mumbles again as he pulls me even closer
"David, its 10am" I say stating the time as he jumps up
"10AM?!?!?" He says as he runs to the closet. I nod and watch as he gets into his 'Thin whte duke' outfit.
"I was supposed to be on the plane to Chicago 2 hours ago" he says while diving to me kissing me passionately
"How long are you gone for" I question him
"About a month. Sorry love" he says while picking me up. I wrap my legs round his waist and my arms round his neck, clinging to him like a koala. He bites down on my neck softly and the nanny walks in. I laugh quietly and softly as I cover my face
