Bluey made her way to her first class of the day - English. Her teacher, Mr. de Fortuna, was taking roll. Luckily, Chloe and Honey were in that class, along with Pretzel and Jack. The two boys weren't taking sides in the Bluey-Mackenzie battle. Unfortunately, Rusty and Lucky, who were best friends with Mackenzie, were sitting together having a whispered argument, and when Bluey walked in the boys looked up and glared ferociously at her. Bluey shrank away until she spotted Honey waving at her, inviting her to sit with her and Chloe. Bluey sighed with relief and went over to their table.

"Hey, Bluey," Honey said. "So, my parents are having a party because a British prince was born a week ago, and you know how British they are. My dad said I can invite a few friends, so do you want to come?"

"Of course!" Bluey said happily. "I love your parents! Your dad's cooking, right?"

"Obvs," Honey responded. Mr. de Fortuna began to talk, so the two shut up and began to take notes.

The school day passed like that, with whispered fights between the boys and glares at them from the girls. The battle lines were drawn. Both sides prepared for war.

After school, Bluey went to the park near her house, where a meeting of the girls was scheduled during lunch that day. When she arrived, Coco, Honey, and Chloe were already there, with Indy on the way. Indy was surprisingly warlike for such a peaceful dog.

"Okay, so what do I do?" Bluey asked the three girls.

"First off," Honey said. "You either say yes or no. That's all there is to it."

"Then why is there a whole war?" Bluey asked sadly.

"Well, Mackenzie said some awful things about you to Rusty, who told Jack, who told Pretzel, who told me," Coco said.

Bluey let out a tiny gasp. "Like what?"

Coco leaned forward and whispered into Bluey's ear. When she finished, Bluey's normally sky blue fur was turning an angry shade of purple. "How dare he!" Bluey seethed.

The girls nodded, apparently having heard what Coco had whispered. "That's right, Bluey," Honey said. "Let it out," Chloe agreed.

Bluey started to vent. "I've known Mackenzie since I was six years old, and I thought he was a friend, not a boyfriend! I never knew that he had a thing for me since Calypso told me this morning! And I most certainly, do NOT have a crush on Mackenzie Collie!"

When Bluey finished, nearby crows cawed and flapped away.

Coco started to clap slowly. Then Chloe and Honey joined in, their claps faster and louder than the last. When the clapping died down, Honey said, "How do you feel now?"

"Amazing," Bluey said breathlessly, her voice slightly raspy from the screaming.

There was a sound like footsteps crushing onto gravel, and the four girls turned around to see Indy running to them. "Sorry I'm late," the Afghan hound said, bending down and panting. "I had to help my mum make some more gluten-free cakes."

Indy panted for a few more seconds, then stood up. "Okay, so I've got big news, everyone!"

"Like what?" Coco asked. "Unless it's about Mackenzie, I don't want to hear it."

"No, there's a new kid in my class! The best part is, he's hot!" Indy exclaimed.

"Oh? Who?" Chloe asked with interest.

"His name is Jean-Luc Labrador, he's French-Canadian, and he can speak French!" Indy gushed.

Bluey nearly choked. "Jean-Luc  . . Labrador?" She asked.
